I was a little nervous about this because I didnt see it in person and its a bit expensive. But it turns out that I really like it. The wood is gorgeous up close. Crate and Barrel has a similar bookshelf that costs nearly as much and is not as nice (and doesnt have the drawers). My only complaints are that one of the drawers is not exactly perfect so it has a slight gap and doesnt slide smoothly and I wish the wheels came off as my floors are not level and I had to shim it. The whole thing sitting on wheels on little shims makes me a little nervous, but I dont have kids or pets that might pull it down so its fine for me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by ally45 I ordered 2 of these and put them side by side. They were delivered already put together and each came with a wall mounting kit (which I highly recommend if you have children). They look wonderful; a bit rustic and modern at the same time. I have an assortment of books, pitchers, vases, and baskets on them. I like the 14 inch depth--they don't jut out in a smaller place, yet there is plenty of room to fit things on them. It is nice having open sides to put trailing vines on. They only downside is you can't adjust the shelves, but when do we really do that?

This bookshelf looks even better in the room than it does in pictures. The wood is a neutral gray and the curves of the iron at the top give it a slightly softer look. Be warned- it is very heavy! I haven't had trouble with the drawers, but did note that they are not interchangeable (make sure the right drawer is on the right, etc.). There are two hooks for the back with which to secure the shelf to a wall. I was able to get this for a discount due to a broken wheel support which appears to have rusted through, so I wonder if this piece might be prone to rusting.
