I recently purchased the Skyward dress, so of course I was drawn to this skirt when I saw it in the store! The print is beautiful, the material substantial, and the quality is great. My only problem is that I was sized out of it. 5'2", 105 pounds, 26" waist, 33" hips, and it was swimming on me. It's a lovely and unique skirt and I hope it works for you - I'd recommend going down a size!

I first tried this on in stores, and fell in love with the print! The quality of the material is excellent, and the notes and lyrics are really clear on the design. The blue in the online images is true to color as well.
I shop at Anthropologie fairly often, so I can usually guess which items will eventually go on sale. The moment, I tried this on, I knew this would be one of those items because it can be an "awkward" fit depending on your proportions and how you like things to fit.
For reference, I am 5' 2" and 110lbs. I usually purchase XS/0 in bottoms from Anthropologie. The length of this skirt is fairly long, and generally, women's preferences on skirt lengths depend on the style, fit, and how modest they want the skirt to be. This hits me at my preferred length for this style, right below the knees. I have a shorter torso and longer legs, so if your proportions are like mine, I think you'll really love how flattering this skirt is. It evens out my proportions, and has a wonderful fit and flare quality.
It is loose for me at the waist, so I had to make minor alterations to it. (The main reason why I didn't want to pay full price for this skirt.) Therefore, I would say size down, especially if you're between sizes!
Overall, I love this skirt! and I would recommend it, just beware of sizing issues. I don't have a lot of occasions to wear it because I think the print is too memorable for every day. It was great to wear at a casual BBQ dinner the other night, with a chambray button down up top (;

When I first saw the skirt online, I just had to have it. Very surrealist skirt with the right shape. A stunning piece of art that I am so proud to own and wear.
I have a classic style but enjoy having conversational pieces like the songbird skirt in my wardrobe to make styling more fun.
I 'debut' the skirt at a daytime bach concert. Paired it with a simple white blouse and a structure navy blue blazer from Alice and Olivia and black wedged heels. The skirt got a lot of attention but most of all I felt great & confident wearing it and the silky lining had a nice cooling effect.
I am a top heavy with no hips, skinny legs and a large chest. This skirt is high waisted and helps balance my figure. I am 5' 5" and normally wear petite bottoms but the skirt hit right above the knee, as shown on the model.
The other reviewers are right, there is a lot of fabric in this skirt and the skirt would swallow a smaller size woman. But if you are top heavy and want to create an hour glass shape then this skirt might help you achieve that. Worked for me!
Other items I will be pairing with the skirt in the future with a black blouse or a light blue half-sleeved knit sweater or brown t-strap kitten heeled shoes.
This skirt has inspired me to give names to some of the other pieces in my closet, that I love and wear often.
