I was thrilled to see these on the sale rack today and couldn't wait to try them on; left them in the store. I have a curvy figure and they just were not very flattering. I am 5'2", 135 lbs and sized up to an 8 (usually a 6) as the legs were far too tight on the 6. The 8 then fit everywhere else except that I would need at least 1 1'2 inches taken out of the waist. I would have been perfectly willing to do except that I just did't find them flattering from the side or the front. I LOVE the fabric in the front and wish the entire pant was made from it, or at least wish the blue pattern was the entire front half because with the black having some wrap around to the front, it wasn't slimming but rather made me look wider I thought. I was really disappointed because I wanted to love these, but I think they are better suited to a less curvy lady. That being said - they are beautiful pants!

These are beautiful pants, but size up! I have another pair of Cartonniers and size 4 is just right for me if not a little loose. So I got a 4 in this style. Sorry to say, but they are tight, tight, tight along the leg. They don't have any stretch in the front and only a little bit in the back. I'm going to exchange it for a 6 and pray they will fit. But... they ARE beautiful and I do want them to fit me so badly!

The previous reviewer is right - if you are at all curvy on the bottom, the black panel down the side will not be slimming. I ordered a 4, which is my usual size. If the whole pant had been in the gold and blue fabric, I think it would have looked better. With the color blocking, it accentuates curves. I have the Camel Block Crops, also by Cartonnier, in size 4. They are much more stretchy than these and more slimming. I actually found the calves to be the tightest part of these pants. Overall, the fit was just not great. If I had sized up, the waist would have been way too big.
