Rated 5 out of 5 by Whimsical Dreamy Darling I bought this dress in-store, and it's so much prettier in person. The bodice has a really lovely folded-over, almost origami-like detailing on it. I also like the tie belt; it's made from a much more substantial fabric than the too-floppy, wrinkly silk ones Anthropologie has been including with their dresses lately. I like that the tie belt is black, too, because I plan on also using it on all those other dresses I have with the wimpy silk ones! As for fit, I'm usually between two sizes, and was able to go with the smaller size this time. Totally worth full price. January 21, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Fabulous print! I actually saw this in store today in the full size range even though this says exclusively online. I was on my way out the door when I spotted this and did a double take to return to see the detail of the architecture print as it was like nothing I had ever seen before (even at Anthro!). The design is a standard from this brand and sizing is consistent and as always the best part is the elastic smocked back which allows flexibility in the sizing, and often you can size down in this style if you are not too busty. The print is what is outstanding. Online it looks almost too unusual for a clothing piece, but in person somehow it works. The architecture details of the buildings somehow pops out from the all of the random scroll work and it's amazing. One thing to mention, I found the upper cloud print to be a bit more grayed down than the baby blue depicted online. I will be securing my order for this one today! January 6, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by absolutely gorgeous!! I need another dress like I need a hole in my head, and yet again I walk out with a stunning dress! It's so much lovelier in person - the fabric is nice and thick, has a subtle sheen, and the colors really pop. The structured top is amazingly flattering - roomy enough for busty ladies, yet gives smaller chested ladies like me shape. The stretchy panel ensures that the bodice nips in your waist perfectly, and the skirt is not too poofy. The substantial sash is great - it won't be all floppy and wrinkly like so many other sashes on Anthro dresses this season. 5'2", 105 pounds, 32A-26-33, size 0 regular hit at my natural waistline and hem hit at my knee and looked so amazing that I didn't want to take it off.
