Rated 4 out of 5Â by MaryinNY NOT SURE THE HOOD IS A GOOD IDEA
Ordered XSP, my usualy size, and is tts. However, the sleeves only have room for light layering underneath. The material of the cardi is of good quality, soft but not sagging, that seems to hold up the shape and contruct of the cardi well. The navy/ivory weaving pattern design is classy, distinct but not over the top. The cardi could be more versatile in that it could be easily deressed up or down and as a layer over a light T or sweather or a layer underneath a winter coat except that the large chuncky hood hanging low at the back is getting in the way. The hood renders the cardi a more casual attire, undermining the classy weaving pattern disign and the beatiful anchoring tassels on the cardi. It makes wearing a winter coat over the cardi awkward. The hood adds costs to the cardi without ehancing value and beauty.

This sweater details are lovely with the button closures on both the inside and outside and then on the outside the buttons are accented with the tassle. It is quite a heavy sweater and is more like a sweater coat. The fit is very nice. I took a Medium and it fit fine - I am usually a Medium or large in sweaters/tops and size 30 in jeans. The navy blue is quite vibrant and it's really unique looking.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by Alnilam Lovely design, but with reservations
I loved the product shot of this cardigan in the October cardigan, so I was very excited to see my store had it in stock so I could try it on. I do like it, but am less enthused than I was before.
In the first place, the pattern is really beautiful and unusual without being loud or outre. It looks kind of like tile or mosaic. I am usually an S or an M; the S fit easily and I could even have worn an XS but would probably purchase a S to fit bulkier shirts underneath. The sleeves were quite long, which was surprising since I have long arms. Overall the fit was fine and the pattern was wonderful but a few issues gave me pause, namely:
1) I wish there were a higher button so you could close the whole front and create a smoother line. If I buy this, I will probably have an extra button added higher on the neck. Otherwise I would have to be really careful about choosing coordinating shirts, whereas I was hoping I could just throw this on as a sweatercoat during my not-so-chilly North Carolina winters. It would also make it a little warmer if you could button up the neck.
2) I wasn't sure about the tassels IRL--they look really cute on the model but I thought they were a bit silly on me. I tried buttoning them inside the sweater to see how it would look without them, but then it looked a little bare. So I feel sort of can't-live-with-them, can't-live-without-them about the tassels.
3) This sweater was really, really itchy. I do have really sensitive skin, so this may not be a problem for many people, but for me I would have no choice but to wear this with a long sleeve undershirt. That's not a dealbreaker for me, but it does limit the sweater's versatility and even then it would probably irritate my neckline. I was really hoping for something softer and cozier.
I still love the look of this sweater, but am on the fence about whether to purchase it, even if it hits sale. I think it would have to be marked down quite a bit before it would be worthwhile for me.
