Rated 4 out of 5 by Charming Party Dress This adorable dress caught my eye while shopping at my local Anthro over the weekend. I'm a sucker for anything fit-and-flair so I beelined for it immediately. Overall I found the quality to be quite fantastic. The fabric is on the heavier side, but not too heavy for warmer weather. I love that it's lined and has pockets and I found the detailing with the straps on the back to make it extra feminine. I also like how the beading around the waist and bottom of the skirt brings a pop of color that gives it a "not too nautical" look. The bust area of the dress was a little tight, so some with a larger bust may want to size up. I'm wearing a size 0 here, so despite the tightness in the bust I still feel it fit TTS. The bottom half of the dress was also a little full. I didn't find it to be too overwhelming, but I feel petite sizing would definitely suit my 5'1" frame better. I also tend to add a belt dresses like this and it seems that the bead detailing around the waistline would prevent me from doing so with this dress. I plan to purchase the petite version of the dress to help with the fullness issue for me. Otherwise, I found it to be of excellent quality and style! This is a dress I would certainly recommend. Rated 1 out of 5 by Disappointing I was really excited about this dress and got some red shoes to go with it to get the look of the model. However, when I got the dress, I realized the beading was a bright neon orange, and looked cheap and tacky. They are that cheap "sparkly" kind that you can get at Michaels for making bracelets at a kid's birthday party or something, not beads you want on a $160 dress. The quality of the material was great and I loved the flattering fit; but the beads just destroyed the classic beauty of the style. The zipper was awful- got caught on material instantly, and even in areas where it didn't catch, it was sticky and wouldn't go up easily (even when off). Its the kind of zipper that will likely break within a few uses. I was so disappointed- could have been a great summer party dress- instead the deisgner tried to push the neon trend somewhere it doesn't quite work, and seemed to put effort into quality material and design, but overlooked the importance of the details March 28, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great spring dress! I was so happy when my boyfriend surprised me with this my birthday! It looks great with a jacket and will look even better without in the summer. The fabric does wrinkle easily, and the beads are a little scratchy, but that doesn't diminish the wearability or the quality of this dress. I'd say it runs TTS. It's not a tight fit, but I like that it fits a little more loose then some of anthro's other dresses. The beads are definitely orange, not red, even though it kind of looks like it in the picture, but its a nice orange. it makes the dress look less nautical and gives it more wearability than to just a Fourth of July party. A great buy! April 3, 2013

BLUE MOTIF Style #:27231067 Inspired by travel notes and sketches, LeifNotes brings to life the stories of designer Johanna Uurasjarvi's global adventures. Here, neon meets nautical for an irresistibly preppy fit-and-flare complete with beautiful beading; we'd pair it with wedges (sandy, of course). Brigantine Regatta Dress
