Rated 4 out of 5 by Almisa This is a soft, unstructured jacket. The terry is not loopy like a towel but more like a textured double knit. The look is indeed shrunken with "bracelet" length sleeves and a cropped body. It's a bit boxy in front but the back is nipped a bit at the waist. It looks younger and fresher left unbuttoned. The stripes on my jacket don't match either. This just doesn't seem like something to stress over; there are a lot of optics going on! The colors are a faded sweatshirt grey and a faded orange-y coral. My store did not have the blue version. If I don't sound very excited about what is truly a nice little jacket that's because it isn't a statement piece. It's more something you will throw on and be as comfortable as if you were wearing a favorite sweater— or a bathrobe!

I'm a sucker for a striped blazer in spring/summer and this one is a gem! The fabric is so Frenchy looking, and I love the retro bracelet-length sleeves. The fit is true to size. I am usually a small and that is what I purchased.
Love the casual, lightweight French terry cloth and as always with Cartonnier's jackets, this one has nice finishing and dressmaker touches throughout. That said and as shown in the product shot, my stripes do not match up exactly on the front, but they do on the back. There's a lot going on with all of those stripes, and I don't think anyone will notice. Additionally, it's not a deal breaker for me because it's so darn cute and versatile.
I purchased the orange motif, which is not orange but instead an orangey red. The blazer is partially lined with a lightweight, grey jersey knit, and the seams are bound with navy bias tape. The three buttons on each sleeve actually have functioning buttonholes--very cute if you unbutton the first button and turn up the sleeve to form a little cuff.
Regarding a previous review about the stitched pockets which appear to be faux, the three besom pockets are indeed real. Jackets are typically sewn in multiple pieces, with the pockets among the first pieces stitched into place. To keep the pockets and the rest of the fabric flat during construction, tailors baste the pockets closed--the large basting stitches are to be removed by the customer upon purchase. The same is true with the large X-stitch on the back vent--it is to hold the vent in place and should be removed by the customer upon purchase.
For reference, the measurements of the small are as follows (garment lying flat):
Armpit to armpit: 17.5 inches
Back of neck to hem: 22.5 inches
Sleeve: 18 inches
I love it tossed over a casual tee and either bermuda shorts or cropped denim for an added bit of polish. Very pleased with my purchase and highly recommended!!

I initially didn't think much of this little jacket because I only saw the light blue and white and I tend to gravitate toward bolder colors. I then saw the orange and white and was intrigued. I have another jacket by the same brand that I have loved and so I went for it! this is such a fun little statement piece. I normally wear a 10 and I got the large and it fits perfect.....I could maybe get a light weight sweater underneath but the look is fitted and shrunken so you really just want a blouse or t-shirt underneath. Anyway it's super cute on and I think you could wear it very casual or a little more dressed up.....I think it will polish off several cute outfits. The stripes are reddish orange and more of a greyish white than pictured. I plan on taking it to the French Riviera next week!
