Rated 5 out of 5Â by hautehippiemom stunning fitted maxi
My 22 yr old daughter bought this silk maxi and it fits her like the photo-the dress runs true to size, the fabric is gorgeous. She is 5' 7" and slender. I do not like that the lining is polyester, which will make the dress not breathe in the summer. Anthro has been using way too much polyester lately, and needs to get back to natural fabrics. Also ,the back button at the neck also needs to be moved over, it gaps out on her, but that's an easy fix.

This is the only Leifsdottir dress that has celebrated my curves better than depicted in the photo (and I don't bother saying "out of the ones I've tried on" because I've tried them ALL on...I spend way too much time in this store). I'm a size 8 in most Anthro dresses, with measurements of 38-27-40, and this miraculous dress hugged every inch of me just right. Granted, it should be mentioned that I propped my breasts up and allowed them to spill out the top ever-so-subtly, which the model doesn't appear to do. Had I not, they probably would have been squished a bit or dissected...but I'm comfortable with showing a little cleavage. The effect of the trumpet skirt (am I right with this term?) is very dramatic and glamorous, and helps to visually slenderize the hips. Gorgeous in every way, I'm snapping it up before it goes on sale or (ahhhhhhhh!) sells out.

I tried this dress on in my usual size 6 (fits in almost all brands on me), and from the bust down, it looks incredible. The skirt is flattering and fans out at just the right point. I'm a bit short-legged, but I actually would not need to hem this dress.
The fabric is gorgeous, and the print/colors looks amazing on me (fair skin, brown eyes, chestnut hair).
The problem is the bust/shoulder area. I am a 34D with broad-ish shoulders, and this dress doesn't work with any of that. The bust seaming hits me on the lower 1/3 of my breast, which doesn't look awful but feels really weird. The outer seam on the cap sleeves, however, totally cuts into the top of my arms when I lift them. I picture dancing in this dress, and I couldn't do it because the sleeve would cut me the entire time.
If you are smaller in the bust and shoulders, spring on this gorgeous dress. If you are broader or busty, proceed with caution.
