Rated 3 out of 5 by DaisyBee Gorgeous fabric, uninspiring fit
The colors and textures of this dress were so eye-catching and fresh, I was willing to spend the money. The fabric is indeed gorgeous - the colors and pattern so distinct, the banded rust-colored waist sown in, adding beautiful texture. The problem is the fit. At this price, it's fair to expect some artistry in the construction, and this dress was a huge disappointment. In other words, unless you have the lythe, idealized figure of the model in the picture, don't get your hopes up. The neckline and sleeves are cut like a men's t-shirt with no attention to shape, and the waistline is extremely unforgiving. Moral: a great fabric and a great idea are not enough; pay some attention to the tailoring and the shape of a woman's body. So disappointing.

I don't think that one needs to have a long, lithe figure to pull off this dress at all. I am about 5'5" and purchased my usual size 6. I have an average figure, 34b chest, neither apple nor pear shaped. The waistband, which is a little more empire in its placement than it appears, is just a bit big, but I would not size down because the dress is so comfortable the way it is. I am excited to add some fun jewelry and may even break it out for Easter brunch. The colors and the fabric and the built-in long half slip are fantastic. Just below ankles - no hemming needed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by anthrothis fabulous quality; very yellow color
Beautiful quality lightweight silk. TTS fit: I usually wear a size 6 and its a perfect fit here (a size 8 fit also but wasn't as flattering). The dress I received was VERY yellow, which doesn't flatter me but I like the dress so much I'm keeping it anyway (maybe a bright necklace in another color will help?). Since I had to hem it anyway (I'm 5'4" and I was stepping on the skirt), I hemmed it to a midi length and I think I like it better than as a maxi. Glad I bought this!
