Marigold Blush Velvet Shift

Rated 5 out of 5 by Marigold Blush Shift Sweet little number! I couldn't pass out on these beautiful colors. Floral patten is gorgeous and colors are as vibrant as pictured online. Design and little details are very interesting which make this not your ordinary shift. With quite substantial material, this can easily be worn in fall, winter and early spring. I'm 5'7'', 130lbs, 34D and purchased my regular 6. The length is very acceptable for an office environment. It hit me a little bit above my knees. An overall fit was little bit loose on me but belt did the trick for my waist. You can see that model's dress doesn't fit her very snug either so I'm assuming this was designed this way. Will allow me to breath and eat normally. Very comfortable and different. January 4, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Oh, HECK no! Hello Anthro, you're kidding me right? This dress could not possibly ever have retailed for $288, let alone $188, or even $88. Even at the significantly low price I paid, I foolishly expected a lining, better construction, and certainly not to see a blaring "Made in China" tag right next to the "designer" tag! The fit was wonky, the fabric is not consistent with a higher end dress, and I'm just really shocked that you guys let these sneak by. I pay full price for things I love, but who doesn't love a great bargain. I have to decide whether it's even worth it to return (I bought another different style that was even worse, ) since I won't be refunded shipping anyway. Geez. March 7, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Pleasantly surprised! I really didn't expect to like this dress as much as I did, and I admit that I took the plunge because of the ridiculously low sales price and not necessarily because this is a piece I'd naturally gravitate to. First, the basics; I'm 5'7" 126lbs, 34-26-34, and have a fairly straight build. On a hunch, because I was familiar with the designer, I ordered sizes 4 AND 6 (I'm usually a 4, rarely a 2).... and I'm glad I did. I'm not saying that the 4 didn't fit, but it was quite snug and when I sat down the skirt rode up inappropriately high on my thighs. The six is perhaps a smidgen loose, but I'd rather that than have to worry about every morsel I eat when wearing a smaller size. At my height, the hem was 2 - 3" above the TOP of my knee. The fabric was substantial and the design and overlays were original. You really don't have to pair it with a belt as the model did in the picture, but you do have that option. My point is that it isn't necessary. Due to the length of the dress and the slightly off sizing, I suspect you'll be seeing quite a few of these returned to your local Anthros. Size up, and give it a shot. It really is a cute dress, especially at the current sales price. March 6, 2013
