 by nnww Not flattering
I have the Ascot Swing coat from 2011 and that coat is very flattering! This one isn't flattering at all.
I ordered my regular 2 and it feels big and looks very boxy. There isn't any swing on this coat. Probably because the fabric is much thicker than the Ascot Swing coat.
For reference I'm 110 lbs 32D.
It seems to be well made but the idea didn't translate well into the final product.

I had seen this jacket on two different computer monitors and in one it looked bright yellow and on the other it looked a much more gold autumnal yellow. It is in person, as I hoped, the lovely gold color. It would look great with beige or brown twill skinny pants or with denim as shown...
It is fully lined and well made; you can feel it will be warm when you put it on (apart from your wrists). I'm normally a 4 (34B) on top and it is snug in that size. I plan on wearing it with a 3/4-sleeve fine knit crew-neck and that should be manageable, but anything thicker, or if you have a larger bust, consider sizing up.
I love the contrast between the waffle knit and the smooth buttons. Really pleased. It comes with a spare button.

This is a lovely little jacket with vintage appeal. The color is bright gold but still somewhat of a neutral. The fit is tts. The swing style means that it flows out from the back and is higher than hip length. Very cute. However, this style presents the problems of having to choose carefully what you wear beneath it, since it shows. Also, it is hard to wear a wooly jacket that has shorter sleeves - since it makes for cold arms on a cold day. This is not a wear everyday type of jacket. Despite the limited wear, I still love this jacket.
