Rated 5 out of 5Â by Almisa Yes you need a new black jacket
You may think you have enough black jackets, but— yes— this one is different. Cut short, closely fitted with a peplum-y flare, it also has the satin lapels of a tuxedo (duplicated on the peplum area). This jacket evokes both Anna Karenina and Fred Astaire. it's in all-weather black crepe (lined of course) and is fashioned to be "thrown over" a dress or top. It purposely doesn't button. Here's the genius: so often buttoned jackets are uncomfortable to sit and/or work in. Should you unbutton it you risk losing the line, and it can flap and sag about your torso. This jacket isn't meant to button, thus won't lose its nipped look (although I could see closing it with a sparkly brooch for another effect). Like I said— genius. Fits TTS with a hint towards bigger. I am either a 0 or 2, and the 0 was perfect.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by scout1 If I could buy it twice-I would!! LOVE IT!
This is an amazing jacket! If you are considering it at all, try it in and fall in love. Material in lovely and the style is classic, feminine, and chic. I have paired this with skinny jeans and heels for a night out then black suit pants & white tuxedo style shirt for work. This is so versatile and TTS-though I normally wear a 2 and sized up to 4 so I could wear long shirts underneath. So glad I splurged, will be wearing for seasons to come!

Rated 5 out of 5Â by TaylorKitCat LOVE this blazer so much!
I highly recommend this jacket. Yes, the price is a bit steep, but this will become your go-to fashion staple for many, many years to come!
The tailoring on this jacket is pristine. And it is so versatile that you can wear it just about anywhere: work, out for drinks, the symphony, a cocktail party. Not to mention you can wear it with just about anything: a dress, a mini, leggings, jeans, a skirt. And I love the idea another reviewer wrote of taking a brooch and clipping the blazer shut if you wanted to close it. Totally changes the look!
While the construction is impeccable, something to keep in mind is that this jacket is unforgiving in shoulder width and arm girth. I normally wear a size 6 or 8 or S or M in tops at Anthro and I went up to a 12 in this blazer. If you have very broad shoulders - mine are wider than my hips - and/or athletic arms like I do you, then you are going to need to go up a size or two from the higher range (if applicable) you normally order at. Keep this fact in mind, too if you ever plan on wearing long sleeved shirts or long sleeved dresses when choosing your size.
Even with the upsizing the blazer still creates a flattering, defined silhouette on me, so don't worry about your waist disappearing. This high-waist peplum does all the work for you! Hope this helps a little!
