Rated 3 out of 5 by Coupious To be honest, I thought this coat was going to be amazing. I love the oversized, mod coat styling, and I've had many. When I received this, in a small, I at first thought the wrong size had arrived- it was that big. And somehow it didn't quite drape properly on me. When buttoned, from the back, the trapeze fell right, but the front was weighed down by the double breasted layer. When open, it was just too much fabric. There was no darting to give it a flare or cut away from the body at any point, so it just hung. And the seems being off the shoulders sadly just didn't really work for me. I thought perhaps an XS would help, but I don't think that would change the issues of the fit enough- I think it's more a problem of cut rather than sizing.
Because I loved the color (it's a stunning pale blue) and the fabric (an almost shimmering textured wool), I kept it until a friend came to visit, just to get her view. She agreed that it didn't work for me, but also raised the accurate concern that it likely wouldn't work for anyone unless extra tall and thin. I'm hoping that's not true, as the fabric and color are so wonderful, but I've honestly not been this disappointed in the fit of an Anthro item, well, perhaps ever. I do hope that it's better for others.
The princess sleeves are a nice detail, and could easily work with longer gloves even into the winter. The weight is heavy enough that this would get me through most winter days, even in New England. The lining is gorgeous, and the whole thing looks like a beautiful item when you pull it out of the box. Sadly, the fit just didn't match the otherwise quality garment.

Rated 5 out of 5 by dressaddict Blue frothy 60's perfection!
I am surprised to see so many negative comments for this coat. I love it! I am 5'7" 122 lbs and I took my usual size xs. Yes, it is bigger than I would have liked, but it kind of goes with the whole 60's mod design. The color is really spectacular, it really stands out and again it goes with the design. There are lots of cute details too. Cute buttons, striped lining, a ruffled trim around the lining. The sleeves are 3/4 which is perfect to show off your bracelets. I wore it with a dress and a pair of distressed skinnies and it was equally appropriate.
My only complaint is the material. It's not wool/nylon, it's actually polyester/wool/rayon and I wish it was mostly wool instead of mostly polyester. It's also not very substantial, so it's probably not a winter coat for the snow belt. Perfect though for the California winter.

Rated 2 out of 5 by seesarasew Enormous & badly tailored; buttons hung crookedly
This coat is so wonderful on the model but was so sadly enormous on me. I typically wear a 4 or 6, so I bought a size Small, but it may as well have been an XL. I understand that the coat is supposed to be broad on the bottom (hence, the cute trapeze shape--it's why I ordered the coat), but it was very strangely tailored (or should I say untailored) through the shoulders and armpits. The top of the coat fit just as loosely as the bottom. I felt like a little girl wearing her mother's coat.
When buttoned, the four buttons hung crookedly, probably because of the coat's lack of tailoring. This made the coat look inexpensive.
Although the cropped, belled sleeves look cute on the model, they looked silly on me. I felt like my arms just looked exceptionally long, or like the sleeves had shrunk at the dry cleaner. Again, I think that if the armpits and shoulders were more appropriately fitted to my body, it may not have looked so strange to have wide sleeves that exposed my wrists.
