Rated 4 out of 5 by on the fence That fabric on this one is really pretty. The colors are nice, and it's kind of textured--like a nice tie might be. I'm on the fence because I'm not certain about the black trim. It's slimming, but kind of makes the dress "sporty," which isn't my scene. And I've had to go up a size in Tabitha to account for my waste and stomach area #thanks one-year-old!#- but that makes the boob area a bit big for me--I don't have a giant chest--which I don't like in a shift. I've thought about taking it up a bit, but our tailoring options are touch and go here. I would say it's worth trying out. It really is a lovely dress. It's just going to fit some body shapes better than others. August 29, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by print/panel detailing relationship not perfect mixed results on this dress. it's a great cut, simple, flattering, and the fabric is nice and structured. flattering and formal, but not too shiny. main complaint about this dress is that the print varies from garment to garment and the print/panel relationship isn't exactly as implied by the sample dress in the photo. my print wasn't symmetrical on the left/right so it's a bit awkward. wished there had been more attention to this detail paid, particularly for the price of the dress. overall OK, but not perfect. Rated 2 out of 5 by Looks better online I've had my eyes on this dress for a while and had really high hopes for it - especially at the sale price! But I was disappointed by the quality, I've gotten super sale (like $40) dresses from Anthro that are better constructed with better fabrics, etc. But the worst part was the side panels, they made me look twice as wide- ughhh. Maybe it was the shape and weird fit, not sure if sizing up will help because it zipped up just fine on me. I'm 5-2, 120 lbs and ordered a 2 in Petites. Now I know why they only show the model from a angle- this dress only looks good from that angle! Bummer. December 31, 2013

PURPLE MOTIF Style #:28941300 Tabitha is an Anthropologie-exclusive line by Beth Bowley, a Parsons School of Design grad who worked for some of fashion's biggest names before starting her own eponymous label in 1998. Every Tabitha piece, like this watercolor sheath, is suffused with Bowley's signature style - romantic mixed with a hint of the unexpected. Lavender Helen Sheath
