Rated 4 out of 5 by Good Shirtdress - but Just Good So, I saw the reviews begin to appear for this dress, and went in to my local store specifically to buy it - full price be darned - I'm a sucker for a good shirtdress. Unfortunately, once I pulled it over my head - the magic was gone. It is a good shirtdress and has a lot going in its favor: cute pattern, pockets, machine washable. But I just kind of felt ehhh, in it. Not super flattering, the waist was cut too high on my long torso and I did have something sort of awkward going on with the sleeves (like the model) as to how it fit from arm to shoulder. Also, disappointed to see it is made completely of rayon. Fit: I am normally an eight in shirtdresses - I tried this on in both the six and the eight - and there is almost no difference. See images. The entire bodice is a stretchy panel. The only minor difference I noticed in sizing was in the shoulders - but honestly, both sizes would work. I did find the sleeves just a bit tight on my forearms - I needed to unbutton the sleeves - but I have rather large arms - so this won't be an issue for most people. It really is a good dress, I just wanted it to be spectacular - if you love it, I think it is a good buy, but me, I'll wait for a sale. August 30, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Beautifully Patterned I absolutely love the pattern and color scheme on this dress. Like other reviewers, the top portion of the dress is a plus. It gives you a very fitted look without being too constricting, which is a problem I have when I reach up or move my arms in other pieces, but not with this dress. The material is nice, the dress drapes nicely at the hem and it moves pretty well. The v-neck is also not too low, which is something I worried about, and the length hits right above my knee, which is how I prefer my length. For reference I'm 5'4 and 113 lbs. My only gripes are the sleeve length and the waistline, which I find are a bit awkward for me. I have a long-ish torso so that's always a issue. Also I have a similarly colored dress in my wardrobe already and couldn't justify the buy. So I'm going to be returning it unfortunately. November 20, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Paid full price without blinking an eye I love this dress. I am 5'10, 32dd and purchased a 2 (down from my usual 4). The bodice is smocked and to keep it a true fit and flare, I wanted to size down. The bottom flares but in a very flattering way (similar to the picture; it did not add weight to my hips). The only problem I encountered was the arms. They were slightly tighter and the cuff was tight. The sleeves came right below my elbow instead of halfway down my arm. The dress ended a few inches above my knee and the trim is black. My favorite part of the dress: it's machine washable. I'm excited to have a fall dress that I can throw on with tights and boots and run out the door. August 24, 2013

Size Guide

How to Measure

Bust

Measure under your arms at the fuller part of your bust. Keep tape level across your shoulder blades.

Natural Waist

Measure around your natural waistline, keeping the tape comfortably loose.

Drop Waist

Measure around your body 1 1/2" below your natural waist.

Hips

Stand with your feet together and measure around the fullest part of your hips.

Inseam

Using a pair of your pants that fit well, measure from crotch seam to bottom of leg.

Rings

Wrap a length of string around your finger and mark where the end touches. Measure the distance between the end of the string and the mark you've made to determine what size to order.
