I had such high hopes for this dress. I love longer sleeved, fit and flare dresses with a quirky print. While the quirky print IS lovely and just as pictured, the rest of the dress was a complete disaster on me. After reading the other reviews I ordered both my usual size S (size 4, 5'6", 133lbs) and as well as a M. The dress definitely runs small, couldn't zip the S more than a few inches. The medium zipped, was a tiny bit loose on the waist, but the other reviewers were spot on with the complaint that the sleeves are too small/tight. I actually found the shoulders to be more tight than the sleeves to be too tight. I was afraid every move I made with my arms would tear the dress. I think the major design flaw is the super wide boatneck. Like, really really wide. I guess it goes along with the whole ballet theme. I have wide shoulders already, so I cannot imagine how people with narrow or even regular shoulders would be able to keep this dress on. The front IS actually a V neck, but once you put it on you can't really tell (again because of the wide shoulder thing). The back is also a V, and dips low, but not enough to expose my bra. The length hit me just below the kneecap. As stated by others, the material is super thin, and unlined on the skirt. This dress would probably look best on someone with a thin frame but average to wide shoulders. I am returning the dresses, and thank goodness for the free shipping promo.

I fell in love with this dress as soon as it came online. It appears to be extremely versatile, easy to style, and the print is so beautiful and unique.
At this price point, my hopes were high. Upon removing the dress from the box, I was already disappointed. The silk looked thin, and there was only a thin lining in the bodice portion of the dress. The material felt like that of a $40 dress, not a nearly $300 dress. I typically wear a 4-6 or a small in dresses, and as I am smaller on top, I thought the small would be the best fit. Boy, was I wrong. The sleeves are absolutely TINY. I could not get the dress completely on for this reason...and from what I could tell, it was not going to zip up.
If I decide to rebuy this dress...I'm not even sure that sizing up to a medium would be enough. Exact measurements for online only items would be appreciated on individual product pages.

I feel like I am an average size girl. My measurements are 38 28 39. I wear between an 8 and a 10. So, I ordered the medium, which is generally what I wear in dresses.
First, it says it is lined, but it is only lined on top. For this price, I would expect the dress to be completely lined. The fabric on the bottom is slightly sheer, so something underneath is needed. What, you ask, well, let me get to that part... I don't know. I don't know, because I could not put this dress on. It would not go over my arms and I could not zip it up. It is really small! I do not know if a large would even fit.
The material is lovely. The print is exactly as pictured and if the sizing would have been right, I would have kept it. As it is, this is going back.
