I fell in love all over again with the shirt dress after seeing "Midnight in Paris" and this is one you can wear all year-round: with a featherweight cardigan in the Spring, alone in the Summer, with leggings and a chunky cardigan in the Fall and Winter months. Because of this I think the price is justified.
The fabric is thin (a plus for Summer) but substantial enough you don't feel like you're wearing your husband's white business suit shirt. The fact that it is longer in the back is a HUGE plus for those of us that are a tad modest or an older gal (I am 39, so super minis are a no-no!) The belt is great, but also removable, which is nice if you want to "switch up" the look and add something beaded, thicker, etc to the waist area.
I normally wear a 4 in dresses at Anthro and the medium fits great.
Two small caveats ladies: 1) "bare" in mind the sides of the dress are SLIGHTLY shorter than the front (nothing inappropriate, but very leggy and probably a bit too much for a traditional office environment). 2) This dress was not cut for women with broad shoulders. If you have a wide upper frame you need to go one size up to make sure you have enough room for full range of motion in your arms and back.
Bottom line: get this dress NOW before it is gone!

This truly is the SOFTEST denim dress you will ever own. I just wore it for the first time and got tons of compliments. And I could seriously wear it to bed. It's a little oversized, so size down. I bought my usual size (xs) and it's a bit drapey, which is the style. I'm 5'4", 107 lbs., 32B if that helps.
BUY THIS NOW. It's the perfect Spring/Summer dress.

I tried this dress on last weekend, and fell in love with it but hesitated to purchase it because it's a bit pricey for something so casual. I went home, and thought about it all night, and was still thinking about it the next day - a sign I really should buy it! - so I returned the next day to buy it, and am so happy I did!
Re: the length - I believe the size small is approximately 35" in length, which is the perfect mid-thigh length for a tall person, and about as short of a dress as I like to wear. The fact that it's not knee-length was a selling point for me, as I tend to find knee-length shirtdresses look mom-ish. It's a playful length, but definitely NOT a mini length, unless you are extremely tall!
The cut is lovely - not as boxy as most shirtdresses. The material is soft and fairly lightweight, and hangs really nicely. I love that the belt tie isn't very long, it ties into a cute small bow!
