I love all of the Byron Lars dresses. Unfortunately, I've had to send two of them back. I'm African American and have darker skin so the "sheer" effect is never achieved on me. Instead of looking like an illusion it looks like I have on a cream colored slip underneath and it's not very flattering. I was able to keep another version of this dress but the black one and another one were complete fails. Maybe Anthro would consider offering an array of flesh tone options for dresses like this. I love them!

Rated 4 out of 5 by jjes68 Pretty dress, but not for those with muscular arms
This dress was so pretty, but I couldn't get it over my upper arms. I could barely get it past my elbows. Granted, I have lifted weights for over 2 decades, but my arms aren't freakishly huge. The rest of the dress fit perfectly, but my apparently I have giant arms so back it went.

Rated 5 out of 5 by storienere Sexy, svelte, the perfect LBD with a twist.
I ordered this dress in black for my NOLA Halloween wedding, in both 4P and 6P. I fell in love with it a while ago, and considered buying it in white. When I decided to wear black, because LBDs are a ladies best friend, I ordered it immediately. It is absolutely everything I hoped it would be--the quality is top notch, it's delicate but built to last, like vintage dressmaker quality. I can't accurately comment on size because I have been slimming down lately. I usually am a 4 or a 6, and sometimes an 8. The 4P fits snugly but comfortably at this time, but 2 weeks ago it was a bit tight. It's a very sexy dress, not for the modest, but more modest than actually baring a whole lot of skin. It's a lot sexier than on the model, but the costumer photos are very accurate. You'll feel like Marilyn Monroe.
