This is a very similar shape to the v neck short sleeve tee Bordeaux/Anthro came out with in early spring and I think it's a great update for fall.
Though I love Bordeaux (all my go-to tees and tanks seem to be from this brand) I didn't actually even notice this, except it was in the dressing room as one of those "We think you'd like this" pieces. I've never actually liked any of those, ha! But I tried this tee on and fell in love.
I respectfully disagree that it's gigantic or disproportionate. I wear a size Small or Medium in most stretchy or knit tees and I have a larger than average bust. I'm also petite and have small shoulders, but I chose a medium in this top. It wasn't unflattering or oversized to the point of being odd looking. In fact, I liked that it had a good drape to it that felt slimming but wasn't clingy and I also thought the arm holes and shoulders were pretty well proportioned. I like tops like this to be relatively fitted under the arms and around the shoulders/neck area so that I don't look lost in the garment and I think this top worked well for me in that respect.
I could have sized down, but I wanted it slightly loose. There is a lot of lycra in this top and if it's stretched too much across the bust, you can see a sheen to the fabric and also under direct sunlight or overhead lighting, you can see through pretty easily. Because I wanted to take this top on a beach vacation, I didn't want to hassle with anything under it besides a nude bra or a bathing suit top, and I didn't want it to be see through in that area. I figured this was worth mentioning since a lot of people don't like to bother with a base layer. I think if you stuck with your true size you'd be okay. Also worth noting....the darker colors are actually worse in this respect than the lighter colors when it comes to overhead lighting.
The only issues I had with the top (aside from the fact that I really wanted more colors to choose from in-store) was that there were an awful lot of little errant strings on the v-neck area. They were on the actual jersey part of the top and not the chiffon, which does have somewhat of a raw edge feel. So I'm not sure they were supposed to be there. I had to sift through the pile to find a couple that didn't have so many loose threads.
Bottom line: Oversized, yes, but proportioned well. You can probably size down but not really large in a way that is unflattering. A great choice in the L or XL for plus sized ladies who are often sized out at Anthro. Nice, swingy profile that doesn't cling. Great for travel now and layering under cozy sweaters in fall.

I knew that I would love this top after my previous positive experience with Bordeaux, which uses beautiful material and concepts. I ended up with a Petite medium top! I never buy petite sizes, as I am basically a medium girl, size 8 top 34DD, 5'1". In the store I was stunned that I couldn't fit into the medium#gigantic and long#or the small#slightly tight across the bust#. The petite sizing kept the scale under control. Nevertheless the V is much wider and deeper than shown online, and the petite sleeves are slightly shorter. I do love my new top. More care needs to be taken in sizing and these crazy V necks. I would like it to fit as in the online photo. Now I need to get a new plan on what to wear to fill the neckline. I am tired of wearing camisoles to mask design flaws! I still love Bordeaux and recommend this top. Please check the sizing in person before ordering.

Wonderful basic to have on hand! Love Bordeaux always a winner! I purchased the regular size (not petite) because I wanted a longer length to wear with leggings--glad I did because its almost too short (I'm 5'1)! I ordered he green, and its a lovely color--perfect for fall!!! The chiffon detail is a nice touch, too. I am sure I will be ordering more!!
