Rated 3 out of 5 by TomsMom Great fabric, lousy design
I do not like poofy sleeves, and this shirt has them. Also, it runs big -- I ordered my usual size 6 and the sleeves are way too long. The shirt itself is also long. It might fit if you're tall but I'd suggest going down at least one size. If this were cut in a more standard way, I'd pay full price for it. As it is, maybe I''ll get it when it goes on sale, to wear under cardigans. The colors and design on the fabric are just fabulous, and the cotton is a nice light weight but not flimsy. But this one goes back.

This shirt is so pretty and I'm smitten. The birds are beautiful, the fabric is soft, and the photos on here are completely accurate. I originally bought this shirt in my normal size 6 but there was a pretty big open gap in the chest area after I buttoned it up, so I exchanged it for an 8. The 8 is perfect.
For your reference: I'm slender but also a bit busty - a size 4 on the bottom and a 6 on top - so I'd suggest that if you're a C-cup or larger, definitely size up. Despite my personal experience, I'm rating this shirt as "true to size" since the 6 could have worked if I were too lazy to do the exchange or all the 8s were out of stock. And trust me, I would have kept this shirt and used some double-sided tape to "keep it proper" if they were all out of the larger size. It's that adorable.

The minute I saw this shirt I knew I had to have it! I normally don't like buying things that I can't try on first in the store, but the pattern was so fantastic I went for it anyway. I sized up from my normal 8 to a 10 because button downs always wind up with that weird bust gap on me, and I didn't want this to look stretched. It was a good choice. The sleeves are a bit loose and the midsection could be smaller on me, but tucked in with the sleeves rolled up it looks perfect. The shirt is high quality, and seems fresh and stylish despite having a sort of "ornithology from the 19th century" quality (which is probably why I like it so much!).
