The design of this blouse is very flattering on petite folks like me, especially at the neckline (plus the sleeves cover my muscular arms, which is a bonus). The sash adds an interesting flair to the blouse (after all, it is Leifnotes); however, it doesn't matter to me whether it's there or not. It's not so long that it becomes bothersome so I don't mind it. The web lists the material as "viscose." However, the tag on the blouse is listed as "silk," and I confirmed that it is silk material. The bird design is very retro and feminine which takes me back to the 50's fashion. The blouse has a lot of colors yet the birds are small enough that it looks neutral. I can pair it with plain or bright color skinny jeans on the weekend or with suits on the weekday.

I was at the store to pick up another blouse I'd had my eye on, and happened to spot this, so I tried it on. LOVE. It has a feminine feel, but the asymmetrical neckline gives it a little bit of a modern twist. The pattern is very sweet (I am a sucker for bird prints), and I am not at all bothered by the sash thing at the hemline -- I feel like it adds a little extra interest. I've worn this top with skinny jeans and booties to dress it down, but could also see it with slouchy trousers or a pencil skirt.
I should add that it is does seem a teensy bit roomy, though I wouldn't say it runs big. I am 34 bust, 25 waist and am kind of on the cusp between 0 & 2 at Anthro in tops -- 0 in this fits me perfectly and the 2 was too much fabric.

Stats: Size12, L/XL, thick torso, 38c. I fell in love with this top as soon as I tried it on. Has a wonderful feminine 1940's feel. I bought a size 10 but I'm usually a size 12 however I wouldn't necessarily recommend sizing down as the gathering around the arm is definitely snug. The neckline is styled to pull to one side but surprisingly doesn't look odd. I love the way it sits on my hips and I think this will look great with a hip-length brown cardigan. The tie that hangs down, as you can see from my photo, isn't as wide. I suggest styling with skinny jeans and knee-high boots to avoid looking frumpy. Fabulous for hiding my flabby upper arms.
