These stools are gorgeous. Design is great, quality of wood is beautiful. Small, sleek, perfect statement piece. HOWEVER, the way they are shipped is shameful! I wanted 2 stools for my counter. The first two were both damaged. The two replacemets, damaged. The 5th... damaged. I am now waiting for my 6th stool to see if they can finally ship it right!!!! They are packaged with a PIECE OF PAPER covering the wood seat and then shrink wrap covering the paper and then in a box...that's it!!!! The boxes have all arrived completely destroyed. Holes, tears, dents... and inside, each stool that has arrived so far has been broken or dented. I have tried to explain this to the customer service reps, but it seems that they do not/can not contact the warehouse regarding this issue. For almost $900 (with tax and shipping) for two stools, there is no way I will accept a dent in the stool from an easily avoidable shipping problem. They need to be shipped with the wooden seat COVERD in foam or bubble wrap. Seems like that would be logical. Very upset, but I will keep trying until I get 2 perfect stools. It is a shame to be wasting so many stools, time and shipping!

I ordered 2 for my basement bar. Packaging/Shipping were appropriate. The stools are lovely--very sturdy, beautiful wood grain. They do not scratch my marble tile. They are exactly the advertised size. Very comfortable for me, my husband & children. Recommend without hesitation.

by CaryandCartier They're a YES!!
Wow I'm so stoked about these stools. I struggled to find a style I liked from thirty different vendors, but everything out there just seemed like it belonged in a poser magazine kitchen. These couldn't be more perfect for me. I paired them with a cast-iron-base crank bistro table and they match beyond my wildest dreams. The teak seat itself is slightly larger than I'd pictured in my head, but that might be because I purchased the counter stools rather than the bar stools, so proportionally the seat seems larger. I will also say that the picture on Anthropologie.com shows a noticeable "bowl" to the teak seat, but my stools do not have that. They are still very comfortable (read: not dead flat) and the teak is very smooth, but there's no outer lip whatsoever to my seats. A NOTE FOR PROSPECTIVE BUYERS: the teak seats on my three stools are actually three noticeably different colors, so if you're looking for a monochromatic, identical set, this stool is not it.
