Rated 4 out of 5 by TLDR It's a fun bag
I've been shopping for a new work tote and this one has fit the bill with a reasonable price. It hangs on my shoulder well without sliding off and seems very sturdy to hold all of my stuff. I've carried it a couple of times now to work and have had several compliments. It got rained on several times and I didn't have any problems with the pattern or straps.

What a charming bag! I adore everything about it. Lots of great details and little unexpected touches like the interior pockets and great lining fabric.
I can't find a way to comment on the other reviewer's complaint about fading ink. From the photos that were posted, I'm guessing her clothing (jeans) rubbed off on the bag, rather than the other way around. I own the Dear Parsy tote she referred to and had no problems with fading or smudging of the design.

I will start by saying I do not have this exact bag yet, but I have the post card version from last year. I have a 45 minute commute to school everyday, which involves transferring trains and long walks through the downtown core. I find this bag to be very practical; it can easily hold my iPad and keyboard, textbooks and other basic necessities, and the strap is semi-comfortable. Unlike the other reviewer, I did not have any problems with ink from my jackets or jeans rubbing off on the canvas (maybe the problem lies in her jeans, not this tote?). Aside from an unfortunate uncapped highlighter that marked up the inside of my bag, it held up very well through a semester of daily commuting. I have received a ton of compliments on my bag. Looking forward to adding this one to my collection!
