Rated 3 out of 5 by so unique, problems and all I knew there would be issues with this beautifully designed, silk dress. It fits great and it looks lovely on -- hits just at the bottom of the knee, top is fitted without being tight. The back is revealing without being super sexy or vulgar. The problem (other than Made in Kind is still made in China) is that the special, soft, textured silk fabric is really sheer, and the dress is completely unlined and un-backed. The bottom is a pretty easy fix (slip) if I can find one that won't ride up above the exposed waistline, but the top will be a trick for sure. I was disappointed to find no backing material to protect my nethers from total exposure. But, what did I expect from a $168 silk dress? Even silk noil. Argh. Is it worth keeping? Still thinking. Rated 3 out of 5 by not quite right. the idea of this dress is fantastic- the choice of colors, the pockets, the open back- but it didn't quite live up to my expectations. the fabric is thin and requires a slip and an adhesive/backless bra (i figured this would be the case when i ordered it so the sheerness of the fabric really isn't my main problem with the dress). i am 5'5" with a small chest so i ordered an xs which fit pretty well on top- just tight enough so the back draped well but not too tight to be uncomfortable. my issue with the fit is where the waist of the dress hits me- not empire, not natural waist, just somewhere in between that really isn't that flattering. i realize this also has to do with my proportions and not just the design of the dress but it is certainly a drawback. my biggest problem with the dress, however, is the construction of the skirt, specifically the pockets. from the pictures it looks like a normal circle skirt with pockets but in reality they are "collapsible" (what that technically means i don't know i'm not a tailor/designer and google didn't shed any light on the definition for me) which means that unless they are placed just so, with your hands positioned just right, the skirt will lay in such a way that all the extra fabric will hang in bunches on each side of the skirt. it's just not the silhouette i wanted the dress to have and was expecting from the pictures. Rated 5 out of 5 by Super cute dress! This dress is wonderful, if you're not tall- it was short waisted and with the black band it was more obvious than other dresses that are short waisted with a defined waist. I looked forward to seeing this on other people and being envious. November 2, 2012

Size Guide

How to Measure

Bust

Measure under your arms at the fuller part of your bust. Keep tape level across your shoulder blades.

Natural Waist

Measure around your natural waistline, keeping the tape comfortably loose.

Drop Waist

Measure around your body 1 1/2" below your natural waist.

Hips

Stand with your feet together and measure around the fullest part of your hips.

Inseam

Using a pair of your pants that fit well, measure from crotch seam to bottom of leg.

Rings

Wrap a length of string around your finger and mark where the end touches. Measure the distance between the end of the string and the mark you've made to determine what size to order.
