I've had this coffee table for almost a year now and I absolutely love it. The color of the wood is true to what you see online, what I would call sort of a medium brown wood. The table is is a little longer than the standard coffee table we had before, but that might be due more to the organic shape of it. We have a large, deep sofa and it is a good size for that. The wood top of my table extends a little longer past the supports compared to the online photo. The table is a great width and seems to be standard height. The size of the table is generous enough to be able to sit around it and play board games comfortably or set out a nice hors d'oeuvres spread while still leaving room for miscellaneous curios. The finish is very natural, almost appears to be unstained/unfinished wood, so it is not glossy and doesn't show any kind of varnish. This has turned out to be a major plus for us since our toddler drew all over it with a crayon when we weren't looking. Miraculously, I was able to gently scrub off all the crayon without residual damage to the table. I was concerned about whether the design would be sturdy, and it is. We keep pretty heavy objects on it and our child has stood, sat and even jumped on it without lossening the bolted supports. We have received compliments on the table and I think it's a real statement piece. I light of the heavy wear and tear it has been subjected to in the relatively short time we've had it, I am quite impressed with the quality. So I highly recommend this table.

The most beautiful coffee table I've ever seen. Almost everyone who sees it compliments us. That being said, there is no protective coat on the wood. I like the raw look very much, but we already have little oil stains from food. We try our best not to get anything on the table with coasters and whatnot, but some spillage is inevitable. What do people do about this? It kills me to take off a star because it is so gorgeous.
