Adorable! The actual headband part is a thin metal strip (about 1/4") and then voluminous fabric is stitched around it. The Antho naming goddesses have called it a "turban headband" which I think refers to the fact that there is a prominent knot in the middle, and then on each side about 2-3 inches of fabric -- this is cool because you can tuck the fabric folds in and out to create the size and shape you want, similar to a bow. The material is 100% poly (but feels silky), and the black and white pattern is as shown - more inkblot than classic leopard, but still gorgeous. With an unruly head of curly hair, I typically prefer thicker style headbands, and this one holds everything in place. It's doubly comfortable because the metal band part is completely covered by the fabric. Can a girl have too many headbands? Ultimately, I'd say this one is different from your traditional flat headband because of the raised knot and bow-like fabric folds (which makes it seem a little more retro in look). Am styling it with red lips and fancy studs. A perfect addition to the arsenal against bad hair days.

I love a good headband, especially in spring and summer, and this one fits the bill nicely. It is not heavy, and while there are no "teeth" to hold it in your hair, it seems to stay put. I am not sure I would call it "Leopard", though. It is more of an abstract print. I suppose if you WANT it to be leopard, it is, but if you would rather not wear an animal print, then you can see it as just an abstract design. I suppose the price is a little high for a simple headband, but the style is cute and I know I will get a lot of use out of it since it is a wear-with-a-lot black and white!
