Grasse Institute-educated perfumer Anne McClain founded her handmade fragrance line MCMC, in 2008. Raised in the US and Japan and an avid traveler, McClain's great sense of adventure and appreciation of other cultures informs her way of thinking and her desire to capture fleeting memories. This second iteration of her Humanity Fragrance Project - which is inspired by volunteer trips around the globe and is meant to evoke a feeling of compassion through its scents - took shape on a trip to Cambodia, where McClain fell in love with the people, local ingredients and landscape. The limited edition glass bottle is handmade at Brooklyn Glass, and is based on the shape of an anatomical heart - a symbol for compassion.
