Rated 3 out of 5 by JG11048 Beautiful but beware of on- line ordering
The soup tureen itself has arrived smashed to pieces twice. Is it the packaging, the carrier, the quality, or all of the above.? It's beautiful but I would be Leary about ordering it on- line. I've been waiting for this since before Christmas. What a disappointment!!!

Sadly, we received the Point Duchesse Tureen through the mail and it was broken into several pieces. Customer service was very helpful in sending us another one which was also broken. We were silly to think 'third time's a charm' because the tureen came yet again in several broken pieces. Do not bother ordering this online because you will likely be disappointed when your package arrives in a million little pieces. It is too bad this gorgeous piece is not sold it in the store!

by GirlFromtheWestCoast Great size and beautiful!
I was lucky enough to find this in store yesterday - what a find! The piece is very beautiful, and a great size! I haven't used it yet (since I have only had it about 24 hours), but it looks as though it will easily hold a main course for a decent dinner party of 8-10 people. The accompanying ladle is a beautiful addition, but I'm worried it will chip or break easily, whereas I believe the tureen will last for many, many years. The dish itself feels nice and sturdy. Can't wait to get good use out of this beautiful serving dish!
(Since the other two reviews mentioned their sad delivery stories, I must say that Anthro SHOULD stock this in stores, if they haven't started to yet, not just online. I think they would sell very well!).
