I've been holding out on this one ..
mainly because although it is very cute, well made and unique I simply wasn't sure why I 'needed' it. Eggs come in a carton, I prefer leaving them there. The other morning I found my reason. I like to keep hard boiled eggs as well as fresh eggs. I boil about six or 8 at a time and use them throughout the week for lunches etc. Bingo. This is now my hard boiled egg caddy : D No more grabbing the wrong carton, no more hard boiled eggs rolling aroung my fridge because I forgot to save an empty cardboard carton. Since buyting this caddy I have also used it to serve peeled hard boiled eggs on a breakfast buffet ... I cut a portion of the top off so that part of the yolk shows and sprinkle with fresh herbs and salt. Very pretty. As I'm typing I have decided to buy another one ... blue for the hard boiled eggs, white for fresh eggs.

Egg Crate as Jewelry Tray!
When I was a kid, my mom's jewelry drawer was my favorite place in the house. She used to have a couple of old egg crates in it to organize her baubles. I've wanted to recreate her brilliant idea for years, and now with this gorgeous piece, I have managed to take Mom's idea up a notch! Use these trays on your dresser top or inside a drawer and you'll be amazed at how your jewelry collection will thrive.

outside of the kitchen
as a college freshman, i don't really have much use for a fancy egg crate. i DO, however, have lots of use for a cute container to keep my earrings and necklaces separated, and this was perfect. i attached those little round felt stickers to the bottom so it could slide around and not scratch my desk, and voila, no more necklaces tangled together or mismatched earrings.

A beatiful, affordable extravogance
This is so pretty, it brightens up the fridge enough to make me smile every time I open the door. It's very heavy, therefore pretty sturdy. I have 4 of them (we have 29 chickens) and two live in the fridge, two on the countertop. I get compliments on them everytime someone comes to visit. Our chickens lay dark chocolate and milk chocolate colored eggs, it's almost like an art display when I gather eggs in the morning with the brown on aqua blue. An excellent purchase at a very good price for the quality. Necessary? Of course not, paper cartons would do just fine, but this is such a happy luxury...

Go Green?
I have this in blue. When I brought it home my boyfriend rolled his eyes at me. LOL. But I LOVE putting my eggs in here instead of the tired old container they come in. I try to tell myself its green to use this, but probably not...unless I went to a henhouse and picked my own eggs directly...and that isn't happening in Chicago.

Great jewelry organizer
I bought a blue one to put my necklaces in, and it worked so well I went and bought a second one.

Eat Locally!
I shop at a food co-op here in Little Rock.We have the freshest and best of all foods right at our fingertips. I really felt bad about putting my fresh- from -the chickens eggs in the fridge. It's safe and desirable to NOT refrigerate them if they never have been.
I wanted something aesthetic to be able to leave them out and appreciate them. Now I can do that.LOvE it!
P.S.-The light blue color really off-sets the range of beautiful neutrals of the eggs.

Just makes me happy!
I've wanted one of these for years and I'm so glad I finally bought it. Even though you can't stack on top of it in the fridge, and it's a bit more space consuming than an egg carton, the cuteness makes up for it! I get happy just opening my fridge and seeing my farm fresh eggs in this. I got the blue one, and I think I'll get the white one as well since I usually buy 24 eggs at a time from the farm.
