Rated 2 out of 5 by Such a strange fitting dress This might be the weirdest fitting dress I have ever tried on. The color is gorgeous, the fabric is a good heavy fabric, which is nice for a flared dress. I am normally a 0 in dresses and this was no exception. I ordered an XS and it fit as I expected. For reference, I am a 32A and have a 25" waist. The waist was just right and it was tight enough around the bust. The weirdest part was that it puckered up A LOT right under the bust down to the waist line. The picture of the model does not fully show just how bad it is. I am not sure that it would even work on a busty woman bc the puckering was so much lower than the bust. On a side note, I was worried the seam would not be straight across bc it looks that way in the picture, but it was. I would not recommend this dress. February 5, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by could have been amazing... First time I am writing a review because I was so excited to receive this dress and soooo disappointed now that I've tried it on. The only true problem is construction of the darts - but so much so that it makes it unwearable! I have a small bust but bought this dress because it appears to be extremely flattering for smaller bust sizes in the photo. However, the darts are so poorly designed that they end up sticking out around the top of my rib cage, not lying flat as they should. If you look closely, you can see it laying strangely on the model's left side - take this wrinkle, lower it 3 inches and make it stick out about an inch - not flattering at all. The back fits and looks beautifully though, so if you can make the darts sit flat then this dress will be so cute... February 3, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Worst fitting dress I've ever tried on I was lucky enough to order †his dress in my usual xs before it sold out…but when I tried it on, it looked horrendous. Honestly. they must have done some major tucks to get it to look like this on the model. The waist fit fine and the length was surprisingly not too long on my 5'1 frame, however it was poufy and not in a flattering way. The worst part though was the top. The tucks on the chest were not tucked in. They were huge flaps of fabric that stuck out in the most awkward and unbelievable way. It drooped and the back did not fit either. I thought since I am petite perhaps getting it altered so the straps were tighter might help, but that did nothing for the chest pleats. It was just so bad and so disappointing. I can't imagine this looking descent on anyone because its not like it needed to be filled out more it was just a terrible and cheap design. Anthro is selling dresses that are not great quality and that don't look good or need major alterations in order to do so. Waisting countless dollars on shipping and never getting that money back when I return these disappointing articles of clothing tells me I need to take a hiatus from them until they step up their inventory.
