by Grumpin Great print, runs large
Picked this up in the store today.
The print is even cuter in person- there are tigers hiding behind the flowers that I didn't notice in the online pics.
The material isn't super high quality, nor is the stitching, but it made up for it by having a very nice cut (slits on the both sides that are just big enough and in the right places) and a half slip. It might be a bit over priced for what it is, but I just loved the print and had been looking for a fun, bright maxi skirt.
I feel it runs big. I got the L and could easily wear it high waisted it more down on my hips without it feeling snug or pulling at all. Both looked good. I'm usually an XL in anthro bottoms. I'd recommend going down a size or two, especially if you plan to wear it at your natural waist.

I am not known for wearing color, I prefer neutrals, but when I saw the skirt, I changed my mind! The print is fantastic. I love all the hidden creatures inbetween the flowers. The skirt swings nicely and has a decent weight to it. I love that it is polyester and easy to care for. I am petite, so I was worried it would be too long. It drapes to the floor on me. I also tried it as a maxi dress and will be wearing it this way as well. I can't wait to start wearing it.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by TaylorKitCat Seriously in love, and I am NOT a "skirt girl"
I admit it. I have cankles. This and other factors mean I am not a "huge" fan of skirts, dresses, or shorts. BUT this skirt...is amazing. Funky enough to stand out, but elegant and utilitarian enough to be worn at/for many different occasions.
Runs large IMO, I would size down one size UNLESS you want to be able to wear the skirt BOTH higher on your natural waist AND lower on your hips. I wanted to be able to wear it both ways, so I went with my usual S. If I wear it on my natural waist the skirt hits the base of my cankle (lol ankle) and if I wear the skirt on my hips it grazes about halfway down the top of my foot .
The skirt is lined to roughly the mid-thigh (in hot pink with adorable white scalloping). Skirt and lining are both 100% polyester and will be easy to care for. The wave/scalloping at the bottom of the skirt isn't as noticeable when you have it on, at least not on me, as opposed to the online pics.
The front of the skirt has two slits - right at the inner thighs. that come up ~ 16". You really only notice them when you walk, and they add a nice flow to the skirt. The stitching on this is hot pink and a little uneven in a few areas, hence, the 4 out of 5 stars for quality.
There are no pockets (the only bummer). The waistband is textured and has give, so this really is the perfect Vegas buffet skirt!
This skirt is really versatile: I am wearing it to a casual wedding with a kimono silk top, but it looks equally adorable with sandals and a simple tank top for the beach, Mexico, Vegas. There are so many colors in the design you can pair it with just about anything.
