When I first saw these shoes online I thought maybe they were too much but decided to order them anyway. I'm so glad I did, they are amazing in person! These shoes are well crafted and super comfy. I love that they are very feminine and unique! It is hard to tell from the picture but the wedge is covered in tiny flower petals, quite lovely. I'm going to pair them with the Liri dress, its all white lace and gorgeous, too! My only complaint is that they seem to be a half size too big but only come in whole sizes. That won't stop me from keeping these fun shoes!

I swooned over the Twill Petal Wedges for a month. So I tried them on during a rare trip to Anthro with a friend.
I was out the door with my True Size 38 Euro. I'm a US 8, sometimes 7.5. The length is a little long. But I couldn't size down since there are no half sizes. I'm 5'5" tall and top heavy.
The first time I wore them all day, they were uncomfortable. The edge of the peep toe pushed against the outside of my big toes and forced them inward. The second wear was much better. The soft suede in the front has enough give that it will stretch after a few wears. My heel is narrow and my vamp low, so the two sides close all the way over and meet. I have to tie them tight or they feel loose. If you have a narrow, low vamp there is no way to adjust the fit to make it tighter since the bow is the only means of keeping this shoe on. They are light weight, nicely padded, and have a non-slip sole.
The actual incline is comfortable and the wedge is balanced. I don't feel like I am toddling around in a shoe that is too high to negotiate. Just don't straddle a baby gate wearing them. My foot went sideways and the shoe jammed into my arch and left a bruise that hurt for two weeks.
Tying these in a presentable bow is a challenge for me. The fabric ties are thick, while the length is short. The bow would droop if they were longer. I plan to hand wash the ties if they get dirty. The tie fabric is soft, and yet they stay tied. It would require a trip to the fabric store and a sewing machine if you need to replace them. The entire shoes appears to be of good quality, and are well made.
Most of the material is cotton, except the soft suede front. I treated mine with water and dirt protector, and will repeat every 2 or 3 wears. The blue in the print is not as bright in person as it appears on my monitor. It reminds me of falling leaves in the rain when you squint and it all becomes a blurry watercolor. I wore these with cropped denim jeans and a denim skirt.
My friend who is petite (5 ft. tall, 35 Euro or US 5) loved these shoes until she put them on. They overwhelmed her small frame.
I'm wondering if this brand (Jacques Levine) is a one off for Anthro, or will we see additional modern and frilly statement shoes to love.
