Rated 4 out of 5Â by Malko I have found my Ultimate Suit.
I have been searching for the ultimate black one-piece for what feels like forever— probably the past three years. The 1940s/50s throwback boy-leg halter suits I see all over the place are great, but I wanted something different. A little bit more modern in design but just as classic in feel, and the moment I saw this beauty I knew it was the one. I didn't even wait for it to go on sale.
The suit is well constructed, and the material is pretty similar to J. Crew's swimwear if you've ever had it: very fine, light and silky. The flexibility of the piece is awesome. You can arrange the cut of the bikini and the ruching as you please, and most of all, the halter panels make the girls look amazing. It's true that the thinness of the material could show some nip, but this doesn't bother me. It's 2013, we all have nipples, you're at the beach, get over it.
One tip, and the reason this didn't get five stars: Because the ruched side seam is not meant to stretch as much as the rest of the suit, I advise being extra careful when taking on/off, especially when wet. It's just one of those instances where the stitching is more robust than the material, and you could end up pulling the stitch if you don't take it easy. I don't see this as a big issue, it's just something to be aware of.
While my measurements would fit me into an XS, I was concerned about my longer torso and 32DD bust, so I followed the advice of a few previous reviewers and sized up. The S fits wonderfully. For ladies with a longer body or a proportionally larger bust, I also recommend going up a size, but otherwise, take your measurements and follow the size chart.
If you like this suit, absolutely get it! You will not be disappointed.

For reference, I'm 5'7", 34b-26-34, 127lbs, and I purchased the small. I actually ordered this from my local store and went in to order the medium. I was heartbroken to find that it had been sold out (no wonder!) and decided to take a leap of faith and order the small. I'm so glad I did! Even though the "lenny size guide" says that the small is for chest 32", I found there was ample room to accommodate at least to a 34" (me) and probably a 36", as long as you are a "b" cup.
I must echo the other reviewers: this is a fabulous fitting suit. I have a fairly athletic and slender build, and wasn't looking for a one-piece necessarily, but I'm so glad I got this one. It is sexy as heck, and will make you feel like a hollywood siren crossed with a Carioca.
Final words: BUY IT. Totally worth full price, a gift on sale.

I bought this suit from Anthropologie two years ago and it's still my favorite suit to wear. I am small chested, but it's one of the only one-pieces I've found that gives coverage but still feels flattering. I like that i can be worn two ways and I usually wear it the other way (not pictured on the site) more as a halter top. The quality is great and it's held up after two Summers of constant wear.
