by shannydoots Such a gem from the Karen Walker collection!
I went to Anthro intending to buy a different Karen Walker dress (the red one with polka dots and flowers, seen on the right hand side of the picture I took-- that ended up being too loose/the shoulders too poofy), but I found this one all alone in the sale section, so I figured I'd give it a try since I love all the Karen Walker dresses. I found a size 10, but if it had been an 8, it would've come home with me. It's seriously the perfect vintage-looking dress I've seen in a long time; very pin-up sailor girl meets "I'm going to church in my Sunday best" (I don't go to church, but if I did, I'd totally wear this). I love the mix of tiny and larger polka dots. I'm not sure why the description says it's black because it's definitely navy, which is better anyway, in my opinion. The sash detailing is perfectly done and so flattering, especially for girls like me with a small chest. The neckline is borderline too low-cut, but I think that may be partially due to the fact that it was a size too large. My hips/behind are quite large, and there was more than enough room down there. Overall, it's a beautiful piece, and I will definitely be purchasing this after the holidays pass (and my bank account isn't so depleted).

 by rockabillyqueen simply adorable!
The Hi There line has some really cute things, this one caught my eye as a return in my local Anthro, after seeing it in person I decided to order online...it runs TTS, and is even cuter in person then the product shot. Its very feminine and figure flattering, the length is perfect, If you have tried on any of the Karen Walker dresses, I would suggest going with what worked best for you. I have read some reviews that suggested the dresses run a bit small.
Overall, its a very charming and unique dress...

I snapped this dress up as soon as I saw it. I'm 5'6", 32dd bust, about a 27" waist and 39" hips, and I purchased the dress in a size 4. In person, the black and white polka dot pattern is adorable, and the bow on the front is a fun touch, while the more fitted shape and elbow-length sleeves make it sophisticated. The dress hit at the middle of my knees, and was TTS everywhere...except my bust. I found it to be pretty significantly snug in the chest, so I have a feeling a minimizing bra is in order. Otherwise, though, this dress is incredibly flattering. The waist nips in at my smallest part, and the cut of the hips is ideal for showing off, or creating the illusion of, hourglass hips.
All in all, a distinctive, versatile dress with a vintage feel and sophisticated cut. I would just caution those among us with fuller busts to try one size up!
