Rated 4 out of 5 by Runs Very Small I'm often a size 0 in dresses, and the size 2 was way too small on me. The problem: I'm petite and short-waisted. The boning dug into my hips so much that it was painful to wear this for even a few minutes. If the waist had hit a little higher, it would have worked. The quality, however, is great. Although the dress is polyester, it feels like silk. This dress feels expensive and well made. The cups are padded, so you definitely don't need a bra with this. December 11, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Gorgeous, great quality, but runs small This is a beautiful dress with a very flattering cut. I am often outsized of Anthro dresses (I am 94 lbs, 5'2', 32C) and tried this in a 0. It fit, but just barely. I think if I gained another 2 lbs, it would no longer zip up. I LOVE the padded, shaped cups. No need to try to hide a strapless bra or have your chest flattened out. The last reviewer was completely correct about the fabric. It feels like silk - very luxe and expensive, although it is polyester. I am ordering the size 2 for a better result. Size up and this dress will be a winner! December 28, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Flirty and Feminine! The dress is quite lovely, and it is definitely worth buying on sale. There are a few things you should keep in mind though. First, it runs small. I am usually a size 2 in dresses at Anthro and I had to size it up to a 6. I am a 34B (really more like a 35), and a 26 natural waist - not pant size (which I'm a 27 in). The latter seems somewhat irrelevant though because the waistline is really high, so it falls a couple of inches above your natural waist, which might make your hips look wider. I threw on a wide Anthro belt though which cinched the dress at my natural waistline. The cups fit well and they give you a lot of support because they are heavily lined, which means you don't have to wear a bra, unless you're looking for a lift - assuming you're going strapless. The fabric does not exactly look like silk, which it isn't, so no surprise there. However, some other reviews mentioned that it looked like silk, but it really just looks like polyester, so the dress doesn't look more expensive than it really is. It certainly does not look cheap though. It looks well put together and pleasantly casual, although I've been known to overdress for pretty much every occasion. Finally, the color in the picture seems fairly accurate. It is definitely not on the dark red side, a bright blue-based red, I would say. Overall, a great purchase on sale. January 30, 2013
