Rated 5 out of 5 by One of the best books on the subject I have quite a collection on home decor books, and this is my new favorite, being by far one of the best. The author doesn't talk about decor only-the book is loaded with advises about many things small but oh so important, that my grandma knew but forgot to teach me, or either I was too young to listen and learn:) How to choose quality linen and towels, how to clean silver, how to prolong life of flowers, even how to burn candles, and which essence to choose when -and of course, there is also decor, and some of the ideas you will immediately long to implement. Seriously, if I knew before this book would be published, I'd cut on a serious amount of other books I already had. This one contains a lot, and is extremely useful. It's also very well written. It came as a nice surprise-who could think a boring subject as cleaning, for example, can be discussed with passion? It elevates you:) It encourages you in a very special way-telling you that even small everyday chores you have to do and maybe don't want to do, are meaningful. I was so impressed, that I bought this very same book as a gift for a friend too-and she also likes it.. April 29, 2013
