Rated 4 out of 5 by Beautiful, but not for me I was thrilled to see these on the sale rack today and couldn't wait to try them on; left them in the store. I have a curvy figure and they just were not very flattering. I am 5'2", 135 lbs and sized up to an 8 (usually a 6) as the legs were far too tight on the 6. The 8 then fit everywhere else except that I would need at least 1 1'2 inches taken out of the waist. I would have been perfectly willing to do except that I just did't find them flattering from the side or the front. I LOVE the fabric in the front and wish the entire pant was made from it, or at least wish the blue pattern was the entire front half because with the black having some wrap around to the front, it wasn't slimming but rather made me look wider I thought. I was really disappointed because I wanted to love these, but I think they are better suited to a less curvy lady. That being said - they are beautiful pants! December 5, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by size up These are beautiful pants, but size up! I have another pair of Cartonniers and size 4 is just right for me if not a little loose. So I got a 4 in this style. Sorry to say, but they are tight, tight, tight along the leg. They don't have any stretch in the front and only a little bit in the back. I'm going to exchange it for a 6 and pray they will fit. But... they ARE beautiful and I do want them to fit me so badly! December 29, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Unique and comfortable I walked by these pants several times. The combination of "black and blue" typically isn't one that I'd consider, but the fit won me over. The "brushstokes"on the front, from a distance, almost looks like lace. In order words - and you can see this effect in the picture - it looks like the pants are somewhat sheer, and that the bronze beneath the navy pattern is your skin. That said, they are very very comfortable. As reference, I'm 5' 7", 32-26-34, 126lbs, and the size 4 fit very comfortably (I don't like things skin tight). My only word of caution is to consider what you will be pairing these pants with. I'm still not exactly sure, though it did look very nice and classy with a crisp white blouse and funky (anthro) necklace. All in all I would recommend based on fit and quality, if not versatility due to color combination February 27, 2013
