I REALLY wanted to love this dress, but it just didn't do it for me. It was a little bit overly sweet and I didn't really like the fit. The waist was too high and it was oddly puffy underneath the waistband. I tried the petite and the regular and neither one fit right. The ones I tried in were also kind of itchy.

I saw this dress in the store and fell in love with it. I am 5' 2" and 120 pounds. A 32 C and wear size 27 jeans. I tried on a small but because i'm wide in the bust area, the purple lining under the tank was rolling out and the dress hit me mid to below the knee. So I opted to order a Medium Petite online. The purple lining doesn't roll out as much. But I think it's starting to bother me. The length now is perfect. Just like the model. Above the knee. I'm debating on keeping it or not. If I go to Petite Large then I think it'll lose it's shape and i'll just be drowning in it... ugh... But totally can dress up this dress in sandals or boots! What to do!!!

I really didn't like the way that this dress looked in the online product shots, and probably would have dismissed it if it weren't by Weston Wear. Because I loved their Unconditional Osier dress so much, and because this one seems like a lighter, more summery version of it, I decided to try it on anyway at my local Anthro. I was pleasantly surprised. The reason I don't like it in the product shots is because it looks downright unflattering. It looks like it flares outward in a way that makes even the thin model look like she has a belly. I'm hourglassy but I veer slightly toward a pear shape, so I thought this would put me right over the edge into bottom-heavy territory. Thankfully, the dress didn't do anything like that in real life. It nipped in at my waist and flared out in a flattering way. The tank style top is flattering and comfortable. I was surprised to see that it is labeled as purple, because in person it seemed more bluish-grey to me, but I've never been good with pinning down ambiguous colors. The underskirt is actually plaid, which is why I deducted a star. The plaid isn't noticeable enough to be cute - it seems to only serve the purpose of obscuring the leaf pattern on the skirt. I don't know why they would do that, as the leaf overlay is, in my opinion, the best part of this dress. Without the plaid I think the dress would seem more balanced. Ah well. It's still beautiful. It fit me true to size.
