by asta17 This skirt is just "meh" for me. I've been looking for a basic navy skirt for a while now, and this just isn't it. The pros: The color is perfect - noticeably navy without being too light. The fabric is soft and has some visual interest with the texture. It's amazingly comfortable. Love the front pockets. I don't mind the elastic waistband, and I love the touch of the scallops. The cons: Although the material is soft, it has almost no shape. It just hangs and has no life to it. I wish it were more of an A-line shape. The XS (5'1, 105 lbs) ended up looking matronly on me. I HATE the little back pocket. It doesn't lay flat at all and creates lumpiness on one butt cheek. A bizarre design choice. Back it goes.

This is the mini skirt that you can wear even if you aren't 19 years old! The navy color is perfect for work and goes with everything. This skirt has a lovely texture that will pair with any shirt, three pockets - two in front and one in back, and an elastic waist. The cut of this skirt has a little bit of A-line, but not too much. Everything about it is basically perfect, including the price. This is a great basic for $68.

I work behind the scenes in a museum collection, so I usually dress nice for work, but nothing too stuffy...but in any case, whatever I've worn to my 10-hour work/commute is normally stripped off the very moment I've come home, but not this skirt...it is so COMFORTABLE! The length is perfect- neither too long nor too short; the fabric has a little stretch to it so it should hold up, but it is mostly cotton so it is very soft, plus it has a subtle design etched in it; the shape is flattering on my curvy hips. The piece de resistance: it has pockets, a requirement in my book, but they're placed a little towards the front, so one doesn't end up with extra fabric where it's not wanted. Worth every penny.
