I saw a girl wearing this shirt at an NBA game and couldn't take my eyes off of it. The drape, the fit, the surprise slit in the back -- didn't get a chance to ask her where she got it. And imagine my surprise when I walked into Anthro the next day and it was hanging on a rack, front and center. I could tell it had been a popular pick because there were only 4 left on the rack. (by the time I went to check out, they were all gone).
-can be worn with an array of bottoms (maxi skirt, high-waisted trouser jeans, skinny/ankle jeans or pants, tucked into a skirt, shorts, even over a sundress etc.) Great versatility.
-tencel is incredibly soft against skin and has a better drape than just chambray
-nice details (cover panel over front buttons, back longer than front, roll up sleeves, slit in back, single panel down back)
-I love love love tops that skim the body rather than hug it, creating a slimming effect, this top is perfection in that regard
-the shade of blue they used is pretty; richer than my J. Crew chambray button ups. And on that note, this is so much more original and interesting than your standard chambray button up.
-(This was a problem with my particular top, I didn't try on any others so it may be just mine) but you know when you unbutton and a thread gets caught around the button? Then you have to dig it out before you can get the shirt off? That keeps happening on 1-2 button holes every time I unbutton the shirt. It's not a big deal and I could easily clip the problem threads, but just something to be aware of. I imagine if I clip them they would come back through the life of the shirt.
-a little on the short side for us tall girls. But very easy to layer a tank underneath for modesty and silhouette.
For reference I am 5'9", 130 lbs., 32B, 27" waist, 37" hips, thin but athletic arms. I got the small. I am in love with this top and have worn it 4 times this week already. You will not regret this purchase!

Rated 4 out of 5 by luxraye perfect for transitioning into california spring
This has become one of my go to tops, whether i'm shopping around town, at the farmer's market or going to a family dinner. It's easy to change the look from super cas with shorts and sandals, or take it up a level with a mini-skirt/skinny jeans and heels/boots. The fabric is incredibly soft so it feels like your in your pj's.
The back pleat which begins at the neckline adds a beautiful heavy drop that ends in a subtly sexy slit which begins at the waist. I was delighted to see that the thread seams and button colors match and contrast with the washed blue. Love.
Note that I did have to size up from my usual extra small. As other reviewers have noted, the arms are a bit on the tighter side if you wear with rolled up sleeves (i also like the long sleeve option for chillier evenings), which is definitely one of the best looks of this piece.

I have made a lot of Anthro purchases but this is my favorite and most regularly used item. I have had this shirt for a few months now and I still consistently wear it at least once or twice a week. I am serious--I have gotten my money's worth already. I can wear it with slacks and pencil skirts to work and on the weekend with jeans of various colors. It is a bit short, but I like to tuck it in in front and wear it hanging out in back. I love the detail of the split back. It's incredibly soft and never shows wrinkles. If I am feeling shy about the low neck, I wear a statement necklace that fills the space. I feel like Emmanuelle Alt whenever I wear it--put together, effortless, subtly feminine.
