Rated 4 out of 5 by Great for small calves! At first I was a bit disappointed because the dark spots/rub marks are a lot more pronounced in real life. It's something I didn't expect based on the stock photos. On the other hand, the etching isn't as dark or apparent as it looks in stock photos. The leather is soft and thin but very good quality. As far as sizing-- in my experience, they run TTS in length and a bit narrow in width. I normally wear a size 6.5/7 (average width) and sized up to a 38 based on previous reviews saying they run very narrow. They are at least an inch too long, probably a little more, but I'm not sure if I'm going to exchange for a size 37 since the 38s fit just right in width. The calves do run on the smaller side compared to most boots, which is great for me because I have small calves (11"). Skinny jeans fit just fine with room to spare. I imagine anyone with 12"-12.5" or smaller calves won't have a problem wearing them with skinnes or at least jeggings/leggings. The one thing that does bother me about the shaft is that the ankle area is a bit wide. There's very little tapering; the ankle is almost as "wide" as the top of the shaft. Overall, I'm happy to have a found a lovely pair of boots that actually fit my calves pretty well. I also like that they can be worn slouched. October 26, 2011
Rated 4 out of 5 by Molto bella boot These boots are full of detail and sure to garner a lot compliments. They seem to run TTS to small and are narrow in the toe box and the calf. I typically wear a 9/9.5 and purchased the 39 in the Brown. The toe box was tight at first, but has loosened by walking around the house. I tried a size 40 in the Ivory and found them to be looser than I wanted so the 39 fits best for me as long as it stretches out a bit more. I think it will due to the leather being so thin. The narrow calves are great for those of us who struggle with tall boots being too loose. However, I can just barely fit jeggings in them. Regular skinny jeans wouldn't fit at all for me. I love the idea of pulling these boots down and slouching them, but I'm afraid they won't stand up again later so I doubt I'll try that look. I find the Ivory to be too cool for my brown skin, but I think it looks great on paler legs. The thin leather does seem delicate so I wouldn't yank on them too much when pulling them on. The cutouts are actual holes so your feet/socks/legs are exposed which is great for early Fall, but winter may not be an option. I did find one boot sliding down more than the other for a bit of an uneven slouch. The Ivory color was not as snug in the toe box for me as the Brown. July 5, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Boots from Heaven! These boots are a divine piece of handmade heaven. The leather really is like Chamois as described. Yes, they are narrow, but I managed to find my regular size 37 fit perfectly. They are a bit tight through the toe area, I'm hoping this will soften and improve without too much toe trauma. They are just the most beautiful pair of boots I've ever seen and I can't wait to wear them for many years to come. I don't imagine they will date as they are so original and so classic at the same time. If your foot is wide, particulary through the toe area, you might find these fit too narrow for your liking. Perfect for skinny feet and calves though. June 29, 2011

Hips

Stand with your feet together and measure around the fullest part of your hips.

Inseam
