Watercolor Ikat Skirt

Rated 5 out of 5 by It's more pink (than red) but still gorgeous! My local store called today and said they just got this in, so I visited with the specific hopes of trying it on -- and loved it! Found it to be TTS. A size 4 is about 13.5 inches flat at the waistband, equivalent to a 27" or 28" fit. It's correctly noted at 22 inches long and goes to the middle of my knee at 5'5". Zips in the back. I'd describe the skirt as more of a relaxed pencil than A-line since it's not super tight at the hips or legs but still has structure. It's a lightweight silk (with non-itchy acetate lining on the inside that goes all the way except for the last two inches). The pattern is beautiful and versatile enough to likely to match with different colored tops. From my computer monitor screen, I honestly thought the large dots in the middle were red on a cream background - in person they're more of a muted fuchsia pink on a pale blush pink background. Both of these pinks are a slightly different shade of pink than what's in the bottom border but still feels like it matches in the same color family. Not a deal-breaker for me but wanted to point it out. The other colors are true as shown - yellow, navy and cobalt blue. The pattern matched up at the back on the skirt I tried on. And lastly, there's a little bit of textured embroidery on the pink and blue diamonds on the ikat bottom border (the top border is plain). Especially because it's silk, feel like the quality matches the price point. Overall, adore it. March 21, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Pretty but flimsy Such pretty colors and such a pretty cut. BUT I wore it once to work and at the end of the day there were so many visible pulls and snags in the silk. And the back seam was pulling even though the skirt wasn't snug at all. Think the fabric is just too delicate for this use. Sad because I love the print. June 4, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Sadly too long for me This is a beautiful skirt? well made and worth the $$$. The previous review does it justice. It does run a little large. I fluctuate between 4 and 6 depending. This skirt fit perfectly in the 4 EXCEPT? at 5'2" I am too short, and it hit at a rather dowdy bottom-of-the-knee. As it can't be taken up and is not available in petite it sadly did not make the cut. March 24, 2013

RED MOTIF Style #:27179423 The name "Maeve" references a purple flower, a Greek goddess and a famously beautiful Irish warrior queen. In light of these inspirations, it's no surprise that the Maeve brand is both feminine and playful, a representation beauty and strength at once. Try this silky, colorful A-line with a pair of just-as-sweet slingbacks. Watercolor Ikat Skirt
