I didn't expect these boots to be so wide in the calf area. My legs are swimming in them. I'm 5'2 they hit the bottom of my knee cap, kinda dug into it actually. Again they width in the calf area was huge. Color was a bit rose. Loved the design too...bummer

I have to agree with other reviews on a few things: these boots are too wide and baggy (and I have muscular calves, not skinny ones), they have no padding or support inside, and they are slippery on floors. The leather is unlined and unstructured, with zip up the back not the side. For these reasons I can't recommend these boots. They seem overpriced for the quality. But it's such a shame, because I love the style, the matte finish on the black version, and the lovely ruffles and tie up. And the heel height is perfect.
I need my boots to be comfortable and practical for walking, so I had to pass on these. Fit is tts.

The tan color has a lot of lavender/pink tones to it but I still thought it was pretty, versatile and unique. The shoes came in a MIss Albright box, they are are mislabeled on the website as Schuler and Sons. So like the other Miss Albright shoes that have come out this year, the quality has decreased - my pain gripe is the slick, uncushioned sole. The old Miss Albright shoes had a lovely no skid, rubberized, super comfy and cushioning sole, no longer - this is very sad! The design of the boot is beautiful, the zip up the back might get dangerous with tights and snagging. Initially, the leather was a bit stiff but then really relaxed, although I think they still run a bit narrow towards the front. The calf was massive on me and I don't have scrawny calves so this bugs me a bit. For the price, I really want them to be perfect. I ordered a 9.5 (my normal size) but would be curious to try a 9 as my heel was way to lose and you would not be able to add a heel grip b/c the boot zips up the back. I am still on the fence, they are such a neat design - maybe I could have the sole redone? I nearly ate it just trying them on while walking on the tile in my house.
