The dress is stunning in person. It is fully beaded and embroidered over a black tulle/mesh in a 1920's silhouette. I wanted a more fitted look, so I sized down. I am curvy on the bottom and it is still really flattering. My only issue (why I gave 4/5 stars for design) is the slip. For such an expensive dress, it comes with a really cheapy slip. I plan on changing out the slip. I have one with a low v-neck, making the dress much more risque since the black tulle is see-through. I highly recommend this dress for anyone who has a vintage style and loves details! LOVE!

I have eyed this dress for a long time and when it went on sale I pounced but when I got it in the mail I am really rather unimpressed. First of all, I ordered a size XS. I am 5'5" 125 lbs - this was the appropriate size on top if not a little too tight for my taste across the bust (34B) but the bottom does nothing for my figure. The length ends up being too long. Unlike the model it hits my frame below the knee by at least 1-2 inches. I would prefer it to hit right at my knee, like the model. The beading is pretty but not stunning. The slip underneath is very poor quality, as the other reviewer said. Alas, with these many issues its going back.

What a beautiful dress this is - on the model in the picture! I am short and curvy (about a size 8, 5'1''), and this shape/style dress usually looks great on my body type. Not only did the medium size hang like a bag on me, but this dress is almost completely sheer/see-through, from top to bottom, back to front. I would have to purchase a dress slip or wear something under this to wear in public, and layering is not something I want to do in the spring/summer. Returning this ASAP! I gave this 2 stars on design, because the detailing is certainly lovely. I gave it 1 overall star because sheer lingerie has no business being advertised as a day dress.
