Rated 4 out of 5Â by Arlette Summer dress that also works for shorter women
There was only one of these in the store, a size 2 regular, which I tried on even though I usually wear a size 0 petite. I'm 5'2", 32.5-24-35.5 (32B or C/30C bra), narrow shoulders, slightly long torso.
Keep in mind for the photos that this is at least a size too large on me, and I'm wearing flats, so this is just to show the overall shape on shorter women.
Very fresh feeling, and the cotton has a good weight, although it would wrinkle a bit throughout the day. The way the back straps are designed, they could be shortened for smaller women. I would say it runs true to size for Anthro.
The colour is also true to the online photos - somewhere between bright yellow and slightly mustardy on white in the fluorescent dressing room light.
The V-neck is a bit narrow and doesn't reveal much cleavage. The lower back covers bra straps well. No pockets which I would have liked for a skirt with pleats.
I didn't love the way the pleated area under the bust and the back puffs out a bit stiffly. On taller women the front should be empire level going lower towards the back. The lining would make it a bit warm to wear on very hot days.
In all, worthwhile trying if you are shorter, although women smaller than me may be sized out. I will be looking for more from 4.collective as the quality is very high.
