Better than Expected!
This is hardly a style I would normally choose. But occasionally I feel the need to take a risk. My intention was to wear this top as lounge wear, but it has potential as street wear too.
SIZE: I ordered my usual Small for Anthro exclusive tops like Liliâs Closet. I wear a Medium for non-Anthro. Iâm 5â5â tall, 135 lbs, 34D, 35-29-36, short arms, long torso. Tops that widen (A-line) at the bottom are a no go for busty me. I need what little waist definition I have to remain defined. Or do I?
FIT: Size down. The Small was huge. The shoulders were wide, and excess fabric hung several inches below the underarm. The chest was too roomy to be flattering. I immediately reordered in XS. Obviously the top is an A-line and meant to be just that. But itâs still flattering when worn with fitted pants. Iâm wearing the XS in the attached photos. The front is shorter, and sits about an inch below my mid-rise jeans. As the hemline curves around to the sides, you get the illusion of having a waist. It does widen in side view though. Donât raise your arms, or at least wear a cami underneath if you must. The sleeves were tight in the XS, and didnât loosen much over the day.
Small gals will be sized out of this one. Those with wide shoulders may want to go with their normal size.
FABRIC: The cotton/poly blend knit is tight and the weight is substantial. There is very little stretch, so this one will hold its shape. I could roll or push the sleeves up my forearms and they stayed put. Another reviewer mentioned fabric pills. I did notice tiny wispy threads between the stripes, but only when looking down the front of the shirt. I plan to turn the top inside out and machine wash in a delicates bag and hang dry.
Since the top has no stretch, the zippers make getting in and out easier. I see this as an adorable swim suit cover-up for the younger gals.
Recommended! Size down! The shape may not be for everyone. Wear with a long pendant necklace to give the illusion of length.

This is a great casual shirt! It's quite thick -- not quite as thick as a sweatshirt but much thicker than a typical shirt. The fabric is stretchy and comfortable. I bought the neutral motif colorway. The green accents are much brighter than they appear online which looks great - and the functional zippers are adorable. I like the loose fit and the fact that it is a little longer in the back but not in an exaggerated way. I bought my normal size Small, so I would say it fits true to size but if you like your clothes to be more tight-fitting, you may want to size down. This is a great addition to my wardrobe for the Texas winter.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Loquita Nice quality, great details
As soon as I saw this shirt I had to try it on, as I am a big fan of stripes. The dark blue version of the shirt appears to have red accent piping on my computer screen, but in real life it's hot pink bordering on fluorescent - not what I was expecting, but a great twist on a classical nautical look. As the others reviewers have noted, the material is substantial and the details (silver zippers placed just so, a slight high-low hem) make this shirt special. I usually wear a small in Anthro clothing and this item fit true to size with plenty of room. I plan on wearing it with skinny jeans and booties...and see myself enjoying it for quite sometime to come.
