Anthropologie dresses are usually wonderful. Although the designers vary, I am generally one of two sizes and I rarely have to alter except occasionally having to take them in a bit. This dress simply did not work at all for me. I should have been tipped off by the fact that there were only two reviews posted online, and that the material was described as heavy. For me, the dress accentuated every curve too much, including making my stomach look much larger than any other dress does. I loved the red zipper in the back and the look of the blue and white but this just wasn't designed for an hour glass figure, even a slim version of one. Unless you have a completely flat stomach, I would pass on this. It is ill fitting and I was disappointed.

I LOVE this dress. The price of it caused me to hesitate, but I am so glad I purchased it. It is gorgeous, comfortable and so flattering!
I think this fits TTS, but due to the stretchiness of the thick fabric, I feel like i could also go up a size and still feel comfortable. I am usually a small, anywhere from a 2 to a 6 depending on the designer. I got the 4, and it's fine. if I were in the store (I got this online) I probably would also try the 6. The arms are just slightly tighter than I'd like (though not uncomfortably so.) The length on me (5;5") is also just as it appears on the model in the photo- hitting right above the
The design of the thick stripes is supper waist-widdling and flattering. I also LOVE the exposed red zipper in the back. Also, despite the large navy and white striped look, I did not feel like it was overly nautical- more like French chic than seaside style.
The fabric on this dress is thick and substantial, and it has a sort of stretchy poly like lininig. This makes the fit forgiving.
One complaint is that waist hem of the inside lining does not exactly meet the waist hem of the dress, which caused me to need to pull things around a little so that they overlapped and did not cause a little hem-bump in the middle. I got it to align, but not sure why they do not connect or why there is even a hem at the waist of the lining at all. I am hoping it does not continue to separate and cause that little line across the middle again.
I've paired this with slightly open toed neutral colored slingback shoes, neutral tote...for work. I have an important work lunch meeting coming up and plan to wear it then as well.
My husband loved this dress and said I looked like a Superhero. It's a lovely, comfortably, power dress! Great for Spring and Summer work and work events and work to evening looks And that pop of red is just genius in the back!.
