Three words: versatile, effortless, and insanely comfortable. (I guess that is 4 words).
This dress would work for pretty much any summer event you have. I plan to wear this to a wedding strapless with a dressy blue statement necklace and strappy sandals, but I think you could dress it down for a more casual event with straps paired with flats or flip flops. The chevron print and black and white are fashion forward, but neutral enough to pair beautifully with metallics or any of the "in' brights (coral, red, hot pink, bright yellow, aqua, bright blue... I could go on forever).
Also awesome is that the fit is effortless. I was nervous that I wouldn't be able to wear a strapless dress without alterations, and was also nervous about sizing. For reference, I'm 5'5'' and typically between a size 6 and size 8 (34B, largish rib cage, hour glass shape). Based on other reviews, I ordered the 6P and it fits like a glove. The sweetheart neckline flatters the girls, and the cut outs on the bodice are more subtle/conservative then they appear on the model. The bodice has an elasticized quality that will keep the dress in place on smaller girls, but stretch to accommodate those with larger ribs or busts. The fit and flare styling is forgiving in the waist, hips, and thighs and I think the silouette would be flattering on most body types. Added benefit is that full skirt is insanely comfortable.
The shirt hits a tad higher than it does on the model, but is still a definite tea length. The skirt has a built in crinoline that helps hold the "pouf."
I'm not sorry I bought this full price-- definitely scoop this one up!
