Rated 4 out of 5 by mathteacher adorable but runs small
I really like this dress - the print, cut-outs, pockets, length. However, it runs small. I am normally an 8 or a medium in dresses, so I ordered a medium. I can't even zip it past my waist! Heck, I can't even stretch the material to meet at my waist. I'm not even sure if a large would work, as it's so small. Either it runs really tiny or this medium was mislabeled. I will have them order a large when I return it and keep my fingers crossed.

This dress is simply adorable, but as the other reviewer mentioned, it runs quite small in the rib cage in comparison to most other Anthro items I own. However, for the longer waisted (or those looking for a somewhat lower-waisted fit & flare), this might be the one for you. I am very high-waisted, and it was definitely too long in the torso for me. I think on somewhat with a slimmer, longer upper body, this would be perfection.
As to the other elements of design-the cutouts at the top are a cut detail to a very girly dress. The fabric is a nice weight and overall, the construction was spot on. The patterning was all well-placed, and I continued to really like the trimming at the waist and neck-line. All in all, this is a neat and tidy, yet fun, dress, and a great version of chambray for those of us that aren't the best at wearing it otherwise. I returned this dress, but only because it didn't fit, not because of any other defects or problems.

I didn't realize this was Dear Creatures when I bought it. Now the crazy sizing makes sense. I always have problems with their sizing. I normally wear a size M or an 8 in dresses. Per the reviews I chose to order the L and XL in this dress. I was able to fit in the L but the top flattened out my boobs in an unflattering way. The XL fits pretty well and wasn't baggy in the waist like I feared. I am a 34/36 D and I always have problems with the bust on Dear Creature dresses. Something about the cut makes my bust look a little frumpy but I put on my vintage cone bra from (What Katie Did) and that corrected the issue plus gave the whole look a little extra vintage kick! Also, I am not sure if it is because I had to go up two sizes or not but the dress hits much lower on me than on the model. Right above my knees. I am 5'5". My only other concern is that the stitching looked a little chintzy. I am a little worried about the longevity of this dresses life but I love the design so I will give it a chance.
