Bobine Sweater Tunic

Rated 5 out of 5 by Lovely, but un-flattering on large chest My online order for this sale item was fulfilled by a store. It arrived with several large stains that appeared to be newsprint, and doughy chocolate, along with a few substantial pulls. Even if the sweater hadn’t been stained, I found the style unflattering on my 34D’s. Considering the synthetics and wool, I expected this to be itchy. Not at all. You will need a sweater shaver for pilling though. SIZE: I ordered my usual size small for Anthro Sweaters. I’m a Medium in non-Anthro brands like Tracy Reese. I’m 5’5” tall, 135 lbs, 34D, 35-29-36, short arms, long torso, and narrow shoulders. FIT: This sweater is TTS by Anthro Standards. The sweater was almost a perfect fit. The hip area was loose enough (still flattering) that I wouldn’t need to tug to keep my backside covered. The sleeves were slightly long on my short arms. My bra and cami were often visible at the neckline while taking photos, and there were folds of knit to the front of the under arms. But the sweater didn’t pull across my chest. I attribute both issues to my narrow shoulders. Adorable from the back and side, but I was not happy with the outcome in front. If this sweater had been made in black with the same embellishments, it could have been a keeper. RECOMMENDED! TTS! Ivory clothing is for obvious reasons going to suffer from dressing room mishaps. If you are remotely close to a store then pick out the sweater in the best condition. February 22, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Gorgeous and Soft! I, too, was surprised at the review on this sweater stating that it was itchy as that was not the case for me at all. These reviews help me when determining items to purchase online, so when I read it was itchy, I didn't purchase it and moved on to other sweaters. My skin is incredibly sensitive, and I have far too many sweaters that I wear knowing I have to wear a cami, or worse, a long sleeve tee to protect every part of my body that these itchy sweaters bother - Why buy these sweaters, right? I have an addiction to adorable sweaters…it's a problem. I don't know why, when I went to the store, I reached out to touch this sweater - maybe because it was so pretty and different from the sweaters I have, and maybe it's because I love tunic sweaters - but I touched it and it was soft. Not to be fooled, I brought it to the dressing room fully expecting to be disappointed BUT when I put it on, I was delighted to find that the sweater didn't bother me at all! This sweater is beautiful. I love the details at the neckline and how the back is cinched with the same detailing. It's got a beautiful drape - covering my bum while being a bit shorter in the front. I would agree with another reviewer who said it's a bit sheer (barely noticeable but worth noting if you can't get to a store to try this on). Wearing a nude bra takes care of that issue, but when going to work wearing this, I'd put on a nude cami to be on the safe side. Petite sizes usually work best on me, but the x-small gives me plenty of shape. The neckline is a bit more boatneck on me so I'm not sure if that's the style of the sweater or because I'm very narrow. Bottom line - If you're looking for a beautiful tunic sweater, you can't go wrong with this. November 29, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Love it I'm surprised by the negative review of this sweater. While it never caught my eye online I couldn't pass it up in person. It's funny that another reviewer found it itchy because it's one of the softest sweaters I've tried in a while. The knit is substantial, the cut is flattering and the detail unique. Also ran true to size. An all-around winner for me. November 24, 2013

CREAM Style #:29619095 Coiled with braids at the neckline and waist, this supremely soft mohair-kissed pullover is equal parts dressy and cozy. We love the way it eases up leather leggings and pumps. Bobine Sweater Tunic
